  • Certificate of Registration - The original certificate of registration issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC) along with its photocopy is required for NEET (PG).
  • Identity Proof - Any valid ID proof like Pan Card, Aadhar Card, Voter's ID Card, Driving License, etc. where the photo and personal details of the candidate are clearly visible is also required for NEET (PG).

Make Sure your Admit Card is in Order

The admit card for NEET PG is the most important document that candidates have to carry. Any issues with the admit card of a candidate will bar them from entering the examination hall and can also lead to the cancellation of their exam. Candidates must make sure to check every detail on and about the admit card so that all the information on it is valid.

Candidates are also required to attach a recent passport size photo of themselves on their admit cards, there are certain specifications that candidates have to follow regarding the photograph on their admit card which are:

  • 70-80% of the photograph height should be the candidate’s face, head and neck.
  • The photograph dimensions should be 35mm x 45mm.
  • The background of the photograph must be white. Candidates must make sure to click the photograph in a brightly lit environment.
  • Candidates must avoid wearing any caps, goggles, ornaments, stethoscopes, etc. when taking the photograph.
  • The photograph should be printed on high-quality paper and should be of at least 600 dpi resolution.

Be Punctual

Refrain from Carrying Barred Items

NBE has prohibited the possession of certain items in the examination centre that are listed in the NEET PG guidelines 2024. These items are barred so that no candidate has an unfair advantage over other candidates while appearing for NEET PG. Any candidate found carrying any barred item during NEET PG is bound to face serious consequences and their exam is liable to be cancelled by the authorities. The items barred from the examination centre during NEET PG are:

  • Any communication or electronic device like mobile phones, Bluetooth earphones, microphones, etc.
  • Any stationery item or textual material (printed or written) like bits of paper, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, geometry/pencil box, eraser, etc.
  • Any ornaments/metallic items.

  • Any opened or packed food items, water bottles, etc.

Know the Exam Schedule Properly

Apart from being punctual, candidates must know what they are supposed to do when they arrive at the examination centre. Even if a candidate arrives on time at the examination centre, they might waste time if they are unaware of the processes and procedures and where they have to report for the same. Every candidate has to go through the security/verification process for NEET PG after reporting to the examination centre. The verification process includes verification of a candidate’s documents and biometric verification and is done by authorized personnel.
