NEET Correction Window 2024 was activated on Apr 11, 2024 on the official website. The last date for the same was set for Apr 12, 2024, until 11:50 PM. In addition, the application correction is an important feature of the application form process, because, with the NEET Correction Window, the candidates can update their application forms in case they have made any errors while filling up their application forms.

However, students must note that the application form for NEET 2024 exam was reopened on Apr 9, 2024. The form has been reopened on the official website by the conducting authority. The last date to apply for the exam was Apr 10, 2024.

NEET (or National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year to determine a candidate’s eligibility for medical school admissions in India.

The NEET application form 2024 correction window was activated on the website on Apr 11, 2024. However, the last date for the correction facility was Apr 12, 2024 (till 11:50 PM). Applicants must check the direct link for the same shared in the table below:

Candidates can only correct Mother's Name, Father's Name, Gender, Category, Person with Disability, State Code of Eligibility, and Nationality during the NEET Form Correction facility. Depending on the type of rectification, an extra price will be charged. Candidates can also re-upload scanned papers that meet the requirements.

Steps to Correct NEET 2024 Application Form

To fix mistakes and make modifications in the NEET 2024 rectification form, students should attentively follow the step-by-step process. Some of the details, according to the NTA, cannot be changed any more. The mobile number and email address are among the information provided. The procedure for correcting NEET 2024 forms is as follows:

• On the homepage, on the left side of the page, there will be a link labelled "Candidate Login." The candidate must go to the URL and click it.
• After that, the candidate must log in using the NEET 2024 Username and Password that was provided to them during the original registration process.
• When the NEET 2024 application correction portal opens, a link titled "Click here for Correction in NEET (UG) 2024 Application" will appear. Please click the link. 
• The NEET UG 2024 application form will display the areas that can be modified after clicking the link. The candidate must make a decision based on his or her needs.
• After the candidate has modified the details, the candidate must click the ‘Submit' button.

NEET Correction 2024 Details

The following details, along with relevant proof, can be corrected in the NEET 2024 application form:

Personal Details of the candidate including name, nationality, gender and more can be corrected in the form. Such as

• Candidate name
• Father’s name
• Mother’s name
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Category
• Nationality
• State of eligibility (for 15% all India quota)
• Do you belong to the minority category?
• Are you suffering from Diabetes type 1?
• In the case of a girl candidate, are you the only child of your parents?
• Identification type
• Identification number

Academic Details of Class Xth and Class XIth can be corrected. Rectifiable options include

• Name of school board education
• Name of school/college
• Address of school/college
• Year of passing
• Percentage of marks obtained in class 10th

Academic Details of Class 12th that can be corrected include:

• School board of class 12th / qualifying examination
• Name of the school/college (passed / appearing)
• Address of the school/college
• Place of study
• State where class XII school/college is located
• Qualifying examination code
• Year of passing/appearing class XII qualifying exam
• Percentage of marks obtained in the class 12th qualifying examination
• Roll number of class 12th

Pointers For Editing Photo in NEET 2024 Application Form

Candidates who are updating or changing information on the application form should keep in mind that if they make a mistake on the rectification form, they will not be able to correct it any further. As a result, it is recommended that students take great care in their revisions and provide plenty of time. The most typical blunder is making a mistake when uploading a photo. There are various rules that must be followed as listed below :

• The photo should be in the format of a digital passport photo (png or jpg).
• The photo should not be less than 20 kb in size or more than 200kb
• It should be a colour image.
• In the photo, avoid using a dark background.
• Photographs must be taken without goggles or hats.
• Plain background is a must.
• The image should not be rotated or slanted in any way.

Candidates Not Eligible for Making Changes in the Form

Some candidates are flagged as ineligible for form correction for the NEET 2024 exam. The form is declined in all of the below mentioned instances, and the candidate will have to wait until the following year :

• Students who submit an application that is incomplete will not be allowed to make any changes and will be rejected.
•  Students who complete the application but did not pay the application fee will be denied, and they will not be permitted to make changes in the form.
• Students who submit their forms after the deadline will not be able to make any modifications.
• Students whose fee payment transactions failed will also be denied the ability to update the form.

After Making Corrections to the NEET Form 2024 

NTA releases the NEET 2024 admit card a few days before the exam is scheduled, based on the details in the application form following the NEET 2024 correction window. The admit card contains the candidate's personal information as well as exam information such as reporting times, test centre address, and so on.

Candidates must log in with their application number, password, and date of birth in order to download their NEET UG 2024 admission card. Aspirants must bring a paper copy of their application, a valid picture ID, and a NEET passport-size photo to the NEET 2024 exam.
