MITID DAT Counselling 2023: Registration, Eligibility

MITID DAT 2023 counselling will be conducted after the Studio Test and Personal Interview for all B.Des programs. Candidates will be called for the Studio Test and Interview based on marks scored in the DAT exam. Applicants are required to bring their original documents and certificates during counselling. If applicants fail to bring the required documents and certificates n their admission will get cancelled.

Note that applicants are not allowed to bring downloaded mark sheets and certificates. The shortlisted applicants can log into the official website and check their counselling dates.

MITID DAT 2023 Counselling Highlights

Candidates who clear MITID DAT 2023 will be called for the counselling process (Studio Test & Personal Interview). The Studio Test & Personal Interview will be conducted in the university on specified dates where all candidates should be present.

Once candidates cleared Studio Test & Personal Interview, candidates will be allotted seats for B.Des/ M.Des in university.

Note: There will be a separate selection process for MIT Institute of Design and Avantika University.

Selection Process for MITID DAT 2023

The admission process is in two phases (for Indian Students).

• Phase 1: DAT (Design Aptitude Test) conducted at various centres across the country. MITID reserves its right to change or cancel any of these centres. Based on scores obtained from DAT, shortlisted candidates will be called for the second phase.
• Phase 2: Studio Test and Personal Interview at MITID campus in Pune. The second phase of the admission procedure will consist of studio tests followed by personal interviews at the Institute in Pune. The list of shortlisted candidates for Second Phase will be announced on MITID website.

Note: No separate call letters will be sent to shortlisted candidates.

All those candidates called for the second phase are required to attend studio tests and interviews, which completes the process of selection.

Admission Committee decides the procedures, grades, and weightage every year. The norms for selection are the sole prerogative of the Admission Committee and the decision of Admission Committee and Management in any matters concerning the admission process and selection will be final.

Any direct or indirect attempt to influence the admission committee or its members, academic office bearers or management will lead to automatic disqualification of the candidate(s). The decision of the Admission Committee and Management in any of the matters concerning the admission process and selection will be final.

MITID DAT 2023 Admission Process for International Students

The interview schedule through video conferencing will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates through email. The details of the conference call will also be intimated in email. The admission committee on completion of interviews and after reviewing their portfolios will select the final list of candidates, who are eligible to take admission to the institute.

The list of finally selected candidates will be displayed on the website and through email. The offer letters (hard copy & scanned copy through email) will be sent to all selected candidates for further process of admission confirmation.
