What is MITID DAT 2021?
MIT Institute of Design Design Aptitude Test (MITID DAT) is a University Level Entrance Test conducted by MIT Institute of Design (Pune), Avantika University(Ujjain), MIT University of Design Alandi Pune and MIT University Meghalaya for admission into B.Des and M.Des Programs.
MITID DAT is a University Level Entrance Test conducted once in every year. MITID DAT 2021 is conducted on April 4, 2021 offline i.e. Pen and Paper-based Test (PBT).

MITID DAT 2021 Exam Dates
Application Form is already available on the official website of MIT Institute of Design from October 22, 2020 and the last date to submit the Application Form is February 28, 2021. MITID DAT Admit Card will be released online for all the aspirants on March 10, 2021.
MITID DAT 2021 will be conducted offline i.e. Pen & Paper-based Test (PBT) on April 4, 2021. Final results will be declared on the official website for all category candidates based on qualified marks on April 19, 2021. Candidates who clear the MITID DAT 2021 will be called for the counselling process which will be held on May 3, 2021.

MITID DAT Eligibility Criteria
There is no age limit mentioned in the eligibility criteria of MITID DAT 2021.
Education qualification required for MITID DAT is different for undergraduate and postgraduate programs which are given below:
For B.Des
An applying candidate should have passed 10+2 examination in any stream (From any of the State Boards AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/ISC/IB or equivalent exam).
For M.Des
Applying candidates must have passed Bachelor's Degree in the following disciplines according to the course which they are applying for from a recognized university.
For Product Design, Transportation Design, Interior Space & Furniture Design, and Retail Design: A candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture, Design, and Science or Industrial Design.
For Graphic Design and Animated Film Design: A candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Literature, Media, Film, Animation or any communication design discipline.
For User Experience Design: A candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or any Design discipline.
For Film & Video Design, Immersive Media Design, Design Management and Fashion Management & Marketing: An applying candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
For Transcultural Design: A candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Design.
MITID DAT 2021 Exam Pattern
MITID DAT 2021 will be conducted offline i.e. Pen & Paper-based Test (PBT) on April 4, 2021. MITID DAT 2021 will be conducted in two phases i.e. Phase 1 - Design Aptitude Test (DAT) and Phase 2 - Studio Test & Personal Interview.
DAT question paper will be consisting of Descriptive type and Drawing problems for candidates applying for B.Des course. For the M.Des course, the paper will consist of multiple-choice questions, descriptive questions, and drawing problems.
Both the question papers will be containing 10 questions with a total of 100 marks. The time given to complete the examination will be 3 hours i.e. 180 minutes. The question paper will be in English.

MITID DAT 2021 Application Form
MITID DAT 2021 Application Form is available on the official website of MIT Institute of Design from October 22, 2020 and the last date to submit the Application Form will be on February 28, 2021.
Applying candidates must pay INR 3000/- for Indian Nationals and INR 4500/- for NRI, PIO, CIO, and Foreign Nationals. Online Payment through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card or Demand Draft in favour of MIT ADT University-MIT Institute of Design. Demand Draft should be sent to the following address:

MITID DAT 2021 Exam Centres
MITID DAT 2021 will be conducted in 16 major cities across India. Candidate should mention the Centre Code and Name of his/ her choice of Test Centre in Online Application Form. Requests for change of Exam Centre and Subject opted by the candidate in the Application Form will not be considered under any circumstances.
Note: The DAT committee reserves its right to change or cancel any of these centres for MITID DAT exam.

MITID DAT 2021 Admit Card
MITID DAT 2021 Admit Card will be available on the official website from March 10, 2021. Candidates should download the Hall-Tickets from the University website: dat.net.in
Candidate must carry government ID proof such as Voter Id, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport along with the Admit Card. Candidates are also advised to read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the examination.
MITID DAT 2021 Results
A candidate has to download Rank Card from the website only. Candidates who clear the MITID DAT will be called for the further round which is conducted in the university. Results for MITID DAT will be declared on the official website for all category candidates based on qualified marks on April 19, 2021. Candidates who clear Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be advancing to the Studio Test & Interview round.
Studio Test and Interview
Candidates who clear the MITID DAT 2021 will be called for the Studio Test & Personal Interview which will be held from May 3, 2021 onwards.
Studio Test & Personal Interview will be conducted in the university on the specified dates where all the candidates should be present. Once the candidates clear the Studio Test & Personal Interview the candidates will be allotted seats for B.Des/ M.Des in the university. Know more about MITID DAT 2021 Counselling.

Scholarships and Loans
MIT Institute of Design has initiated full or partial scholarship schemes for 5% of the total students to make design education more affordable. The decision to award the scholarship will solely lie in the hands of the interview panel. It will depend upon the student's performance in the test and his/her financial needs whether he/she desperately needs a scholarship or not.
After getting the admission in the college, the needy student has to fill the scholarship form and affix required documents like family income statements with it.
For education loan purposes, the institute has a special tie-up with Credila (An HDFC Ltd. Company). Candidates can avail of this facility as per the bank's norms.
