About MAHATET Exam
Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHATET) is a state level, paper pen based OMR assessment exam conducted by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination Pune (MSCE) to recruit candidates for teaching jobs in the state. It comprises two levels of examination.
The MAHATET Paper I is for candidates who wish to teach the primary standard (class 1-5). Paper II is for the candidates who wish to teach the upper primary standard (class 6-10) students, each containing 150 questions. Teachers who wish to teach both primary and upper primary should compulsorily take up Paper I and Paper II.
People who have already qualified in the TET exam can apply for it again to increase their scores. Candidates who qualify for the TET exam will be eligible for 2 years to apply for the teaching recruitment in Maharashtra.

MAHATET 2024 Eligibility
The MAHATET 2024 eligibility criteria has been reframed this year by the Maharashtra State Council. The candidates will not be able to appear for the exam and will be disqualified if they do not fulfil the eligibility criteria.
- The candidates must complete class 12 or have an equivalent qualification to be able to apply for the MAHATET 2024.
- The candidates must also have a bachelor's degree in teaching or a diploma in elementary education from any recognized university or institute and must have passed with a minimum of 45% to 50%.
- The candidate must be 18 years of age.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.

MAHATET 2024 Exam Pattern
