Eligibility Criteria for IIITs

Eligibility for UG Courses:

• Candidates must have passed 12th with 50% from a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as core subjects.
• Candidates must also qualify for the cut-off for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or equivalent engineering entrance examinations.

Eligibility for PG Courses:

• The ideal candidates must have a bachelor's degree with 60% in a related field from an accredited institution.
• Candidates must have passed GATE or other equivalent national-level entrance exams.

Admission Process for IIITs

The IIIT admission process may vary as per institution and type of course. All colleges under IIIT mostly have a similar admission process. Listed below are the standard guidelines for enrolling in IIIT in India.

• Candidates must first register for the entrance exam; for UG courses, it is JEE Mains, whereas, for PG courses, it is GATE or equivalent.
• Candidates must complete the application form with all required documents from the official website. 
• Students must then qualify for the entrance exam with the set cut-off.
• Students are selected based on entrance exam scores and 12th marks.
• The merit list is prepared based on the candidate's performance in the entrance exam.
