INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BHOPAL (IIIT-Bhopal), is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (PPP) in the country, set up with the objective of making available facilities for higher education, research, and training in various fields of Information Technology. To address the challenges faced by the Indian IT industry and growth of the domestic IT market, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India intends to establish twenty Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT), on a Not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) basis.

The partners in setting up the IIITs would be the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Governments of the respective States where each IIIT will be established, and the industry. On the same line, INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BHOPAL (IIIT-Bhopal) is a newly established Educational Institute by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, and few industry partners as a Not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) Institution.

IIIT Bhopal Infrastructure:

The Classes of IIIT Bhopal will be conducted at the New Teaching Block of MANIT Bhopal till any further orders from competent authorities. Academic and other facilities of MANIT Bhopal will be shared with the students of IIIT Bhopal as per availability and requirements.

Hostel facility for only 1st-year boys students and girls students of all years will be separately provided at Hostels of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal on its campus. It is a new college, so we don't have our own campus. It is running in MANIT Bhopal. So we can use their facilities like computer labs, canteen, Wi-Fi, library, auditorium, and sports complex. The quality of the facility is very good, but only one problem that is a time issue since we share with MANIT, and that's why some facilities we can get at a specific time only like a sports complex is not available after 5 pm and other things like that. Hostel facilities are not good but fine to live. Classes are being held in MANIT, and we have got a separate computer lab. We share labs with the MANIT. Sports facilities are also shared with MANIT. Our college supports us in participating in any sports event. It's a new college started by MHRD. Now, there was no permanent campus for our college.

IIIT Bhopal Placement:

It batch is the first batch of the college, so IIIT Bhopal placement drives are not organized yet. But the college management is working very hard for us so that the best companies visit our institution for placement drives. Our college is affiliated to MANIT currently, so the companies which visit MANIT will also visit our institute for placements. IIIT BHOPAL is a premier national institute. Since it is a new college started by MHRD in the year 2017, we are the first batch of the college. We don't have seniors. We don't know about the placements, but we expect good placements from our college..the more details for the placement in Bhopal is given below:

The University conducts training on aptitude tests, soft skills, motivational talks, industrial visits, professional certificate courses, and talent enrichment programs.
Students are provided with information, advice, guidance, and support by the University which is required for getting placed.
Campus interviews are organized for final year students.
Many reputed companies visit the campus to conduct placement drives.

Candidates must pass +2 in science stream from a recognized board or university with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Candidates must pass the Joint Entrance Exam [JEE advanced/main] with a valid score. Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal admission is done online and is based on the score secured both for the higher secondary examination and JEE advanced/main. The application form for all the courses offered by the college is online mode.
Admission will be done through the Central Seat Allocation Board and Joint Seat Allocation Authority, Government of India.
The admission fee of INR 16500 has to be deposited at the time of admission.
The selection of candidates will depend on the score obtained in JEE Main.

IIIT Bhopal Hostel Details:

There is a Hostel facility for only 1st-year boys students and girls students of all years will be separately provided at Hostels of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal in its campus. Hostel fees are 56000 for even semester and 50000 for the odd semester. Hostel fees are a lot as in hostels, good facilities are not available and students face a lot of problems related to food, water, etc. Hostel fees is a lot I would recommend not to take hostel. There are hostels provided 18km far from MANIT Bhopal which is in the RGPV campus, bus facility is provided for drop and a single room is provided to students of 1st-year student only.No hostel for 2nd,3rd, 4th-year students.
