The average salary for IIIT placements is usually between INR 10 and 15 LPA, but by 2024, the average salary package had increased from INR 10 LPA to INR 30 LPA. The highest salary package offered by recruiters for IIITians is approximately INR 1 CPA for the academic placement of 2024.

Usually, the highest packages are offered by international companies to the students. The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) runs two phases of IIIT placement campaigns for its students.

IIIT Placements Procedure 2024

The students who are sitting for IIIT placements must understand the 2024 placement procedure from the pointers listed below. All IIITs follow the following procedure for placing their students.

1. Employment Offices of respective IIITs will send invitations with relevant information to companies/organizations. 
2. The company/organization fills out a JAF (Job Notice Form) containing the job offer details (salary, position, allowance, and other bonuses). 
3. With the preferred dates of the campus visit, valid completed JAFs are sent to the respective placement units. 
4. The placement office assigns dates to companies for campus placement campaigns based on their interests. 
5. The company/organization confirms the date with the employment office. Companies visit campus on a set date(s) and conduct PPT/test and interviews based on their recruitment process. 
6. The company/institution must provide the final list of selected students on the same day of a school visit and deliver a duly signed hard copy to the arranger. 
7. The capacity of the Placement Unit is limited to offers made as part of the on-campus placement process. The company must send the offer letters to the placement office and not directly to the student.
