Indian Institute of Information Technology Una, Himachal Pradesh was established in 2014 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). IIIT Una was settled under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and the partners are MHRD, the Government of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, and Himachal Pradesh Transmission Corporation Limited.

IIIT Una courses include B.Tech programs like Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Information Technology. The institute provides placement opportunities to its students through the college's placement cell. There are many clubs offering different activities within IIIT Una. All the required information are as follows:

• FORCE: IIIT Una has an association called the Forum of Computer Engineers. The main aim of the club is to encourage open-source software, improving coding culture, project building, and so on. It also provides an opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge in the field of computer science. 

• Data Science Club: This is the club of IIIT UNA, where we are working for elevating the culture of Machine Learning and Data Science. As we all know that 'An I is the new electricity'. Unlike ever before, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence are on a boom right now and this field is making more progress than many other fields combined. Seeing the ongoing trend, this club focuses on building awareness and sharing knowledge about the same. 

• InfoSec Community: This is an association at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Una which aims at bolstering the Cybersecurity culture among college students. The basic motive of this community is to train enthusiasts in different areas of Cybersecurity and to encourage them into participating in CTFs happening in different parts of India and worldwide. 

• Aavesh: This is an electronics society that strives to teach and help students acquire new skills in an era of rapidly evolving technology in the field of electronics and communication engineering. The Society aims to provide potential minds of IIITU a platform to discuss innovative ideas and nurture their skills to tackle real-life challenges in the world today and contribute to the technical society through various projects, patents, and research publications.

• SURGE: This is an electronics club that is established by Electronic society Aavesh in 2019. The Society aims to provide potential minds of IIITU a platform to discuss innovative ideas and nurture their skills to tackle real-life challenges in the world today and contribute to the technical society through various projects, patents, and research publications.

• EvMac is the Event Management: It organizes all the technical and cultural events of the institute in collaboration with all the other clubs while managing the discipline, decoration, finances, and all other aspects of the given event. EvMac also organizes various other independent events and competitions all around the year.

• AMOGH: This club brings to you an assemblage of your college life memories. Our goal is to provide a platform for budding artists to showcase their creative endeavours, to create a memoir of their college life for students, and to create an assortment of the events organized around the year in the college.

• Impressions: It is the society responsible for promoting and capturing various cultural and technical events in the institute by means of photography, cinematography, and graphic designing.

IIIT Una offers the required facilities to the candidates to complete their course successfully. IIIT Una infrastructure facilities are mentioned below:

• Library - Indian Institute of Information Technology, Una central library is spread in two buildings. It comprises of Reading Rooms, Book Bank, Textbook/ Reference Book Section, Library Staff Cabins, and Bound Volume Section. The Reading Rooms also have a wi-fi facility to access e-Resources.
• Hostel - The campus has separate rooms for boys and girls.
• Sports facilities - Badminton court, Basketball court, cricket court, Food ball, Tennis court.

IIIT Una Hostel Details:

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Una mentored by the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur (HP) institute provides hostel accommodation to all the students. There are twelve hostels in this institute. Nine of them are for boys and girls have separate three. Internet facilities have been provided in every room of each hostel. In the Boys Hostel, there are Shared Rooms. And the hostel is present In-Campus Hostel, but for the Girls Hostel has got Shared Rooms In-Campus Hostel.
