IIIT Manipur Overview

Indian Institute of Information Technology Senapati, Manipur (IIITM) is an institution under MHRD, Govt. of India. IIIT Senapati, Manipur was established in 2015 in order to develop Manipur as a preferred destination for Information Technology (IT) related manpower and industry. Indian Institute of Information Technology was established in the year 2015 under MHRD, Govt of India with a view to provide technical education and international standards of excellence and mainly to contribute to India and World through excellence in Information Technology. IIIT Manipur is one of the 20 IIIT institutions set up by the Central Govt of India.

The institution currently operating from its transit campus at Mantripukhri and the permanent campus will be opened in Ningthoupham village, Mayangkhang, Senapati district of Manipur. The current campus has all the basic facilities which students require for the education purpose and has a state of art labs that will help the students during the research programs.

IIIT Manipur Infrastructure:

IIIT Senapati, Manipur is operating at present from its campus at Mantripukhri, Imphal. Although the institute is in a transit campus, it has all facilities required for an institute of national importance such as state of the art lab, classrooms, wifi connected campus, Library, Auditorium, Hostels, faculty residences within the campus, playground, etc. IIIT Manipur infrastructure is currently operating from its transit campus at Mantripukhri. The institution has all the basic facilities which are required for the students and faculty members and the campus is surrounded by the lush greens.

IIIT Manipur Placements:

The highest salary package offered is 42 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. An average salary package offered is 9 LPA. Only 20% of the students got placed from college, and only a few students got an internship. The University conducts training on aptitude tests, soft skills, motivational talks, industrial visits, professional certificate courses, and talent enrichment programs.

Candidates must pass the Joint Entrance Exam [JEE advanced/main] with a valid score.IIIT Manipur admission is done online and is based on the score secured both for the higher secondary examination and JEE advanced/main. Seats are granted on the basis of Rank in JEE Mains held twice every year. 

IIIT Manipur Hostel Details:

There are 4 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel which are situated about 100 meters from the campus. Here the hostel is the only best option for accommodation for students. The hostels are overall good. Coming to mess food, is the only thing that would make you feel why I came here. It is the only bad point in our college. You will approx 150 rs per day for the mess which will provide you food three times a day. If you are bored with the mess food, there are canteens one in college and others in a hostel where you can have some tasty snacks on a paying basis. The whole college and hostel campus is powered by Jio WiFi and the library provides the necessary books free of cost to students. Various geographical qualities of the place make the weather pleasant and comfortable to live in.
