About NMMS Exam 2024

National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme is a government-sponsored scheme first launched in May 2008. This scholarship program is to support students financially in their secondary level education: class 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th. It is proposed to award 100,000 NMMS scholarship amount to the meritorious students. Students whose parental income is not more than INR 3,50,000/- per annum from all sources at the time will be considered for NMMS scholarship eligibility.

NMMS Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

NMMS exam is designed to provide financial support to the students. However, students must qualify for the NMMS eligibility criteria to apply for the exam.

The NMMS exam eligibility criteria has been given below.

• Students must be studying in class VIII with a minimum 55% score (50% for reserved categories) in class VII.
• The applicant’s parent's annual income must not be more than INR 3,50,000.
• Further, students must obtain 55% (50% for reserved categories) in class IX and XI and 60% (55% for reserved categories) in the class X exam to keep this scholarship.
• Those studying in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Sainik Schools cannot register for the NMMS scholarship online application.
• Those studying in residential schools run by state government institutions with facilities like boarding, lodging and education cannot apply as well.
• Furthermore, students pursuing their education in private schools cannot apply for the NMMS exam as well.

NMMS Exam 2024 Registration

The NMMS registration process took place in August 2024 and September 2024. To apply for NMMS registration in offline mode and attempt the test on NMMS exam date, students must fill out the NMMS application form and submit it with all the necessary documents to their respective schools.
