The NMMS exam commenced on Sep 24 and it is scheduled to conclude on Dec 17, 2023. The Directorate of Government Examination authorities will release the National Means Merit Scholarship results in January 2024 and February 2024 for different states.

NMMS Result 2024

Once the NMMS entrance exam has taken place, the official authority announces the NMMS exam result on the official website. Applicants can download the NMMS result using the login credentials: roll number and date of birth on the official website. Further, students can also check out the cut off marks for respective categories. An institution that considers NMMS exam scores for admission expects more than 40% of marks from students.

Steps To Check NMMS Result 2024

NMMS is a decentralized scheme where students have to clear only one level of exam, i.e., state-level examination. Students selected for the scholarship program through their NMMS result will receive a monthly sum of INR 1,000 per month for up to four years.

Students must follow the step-by-step procedure below to download the NMMS result.

1. First, visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
2. Once on the homepage, log in using the credentials like registration number, date of birth, and class.
3. Then, submit to view the NMMS result in pdf format.
4. Now, the NMMS result will be displayed on the candidate’s screen.
5. Finally, save and download the NMMS result and take a printout for future reference.

Note: An institution that considers NMMS results for admission expects more than 40% of marks in NMMS from students.

NMMS Result 2024 Re-evaluation

The NMMS result includes the students' marks in each section, i.e., CAT and MAT. Students must remember that the NMMS answer sheets are released with numerous checking procedures by the conducting authorities. For this reason, the MHRD does not allow rechecking or re-evaluation of NMMS answer sheets at any stage.

NMMS 2024 Cutoff Marks

The NMMS exam paper has two sections: SAT and MAT. Students have to secure a minimum of qualifying marks in their NMMS result to be eligible for the scholarship.

NMMS 2024 Scholarship Amount

The authorities will select students for NMMS scholarships that will be declared two to three weeks after the NMMS result. Students who have cleared the mental aptitude test and the scholastic aptitude test will be eligible for the NMMS scholarship.

Note that the scholarship amount of INR 1000 will be credited to the joint bank account of the eligible students. Subsequently, the NMMS scholars will receive INR 12,000 per annum (INR 1000 per month). Furthermore, the scholarship amount will be added to scholars' bank accounts by the Public Financial Management System once the NMMS result is out. (PFMS).
