DEAET 2024 exam is not required securing admission to distance education programs. Therefore, admission to Tripura distance courses is allowed on qualifying exam scores. Candidates will receive admission confirmation on their registered mobile/email ID.

Students in Tripura who are aspiring to pursue MA /BA/CHR degree through Distance Mode education can apply for the Tripura University Distance Education Admission Eligibility Test. It is abbreviated as DEAET.

DEAET Registration 2024 Details
Tripura University Distance Education programs admission will not need any entrance exam. Therefore, admission to Tripura distance courses is allowed on qualifying exam scores. Candidates will receive admission confirmation on their registered mobile/email ID. Candidates who have been admitted to Tripura programs can collect study materials. Application fees for the Tripura distance course are INR 800.Application Fee Payment
So once a candidate has filled out the form by giving all the relevant details he or she can proceed with the application fee payment. The total DEAET Registration Fee is INR 780 (INR 650+INR 130). The Postal /Courier Charges for sending the Prospectus are also included in the above fee. So no more extra charges have to be paid.

DEAET Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility criteria vary as per the programme. So the information on eligibility is provided as per the different courses.
Eligibility for Master of Arts (MA) (Education, Political Science, Bengali)
Candidates who have passed a three-year or six-semester Bachelor's degree (passing or Honourary Degree) from a University will be eligible to apply for this exam. Their degree should have followed the 10+2+3 pattern or based on an equivalent system of education.
A candidate who is appearing for the BA final exam in 2024 shall be eligible to apply for admission into courses offered by the Post Graduate Faculty (ODL).
The Post Graduate Program in Education under the DDE will be governed or will occur as per “the Rules and Regulations for the Post Graduate Programs in the Choice Based Credit System, 2015-16” and amendments made from time to time.
Eligibility for Bachelor of Arts (BA)
This course was started way back in 2001 under the Distance Mode. This programme is divided into six-semester for a total duration of 3 years. Because of the growing demand for this programme in Tripura, the DDE opened 23 Study Centres in different Degree colleges of the state.
All students who have passed H.S. (+2) exam or its equivalent with at least 4 subjects including English from a recognized Board/ Council shall be eligible. The selected candidates will be updated to the 1st Semester of the BA General Program of studies.
Under Graduate Programs under DDE shall be governed as per the Rules and Regulations of Choice and Credit Based Six Semesters B.A/B.SC/B.Com General and Honours and amendments that were made.
Eligibility for Certificate Course in Human Rights (CHR)
This Program in Human Rights was introduced way back in 2011. North-East India has experienced severe human rights violations in which both state and non-state actors have been instrumental.
An aspirant who has completed the Bachelor’s Degree (Pass or Honours) of any recognized University in the pattern of 10+2+3 or equivalent system of education shall be eligible to apply for admission.
An aspirant who has taken the Bachelor’s Degree (Pass or Honours) of any other recognized University in the pattern of 10+2+2/ 10+1+3/11+3 or any equivalent system is also eligible to apply for admission.

The final selection of candidates for admission into Post Graduate Programs shall be made available on the official website.
Reservation Scheme
The Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Persons with Disabilities (PWD) will be followed as per the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2006 (No.5 of 2007) and Amendment Act, 2012 (No. 31 of 2012).
Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir separately have 2% Supernumerary seats.
