There are so many student societies and official clubs are there Urja is the main festival AWESOME.
There are 2 hostels, 1 for boys and other for girls Yeah, there are so many options you have 50 rupees. I love this place because of that the infrastructure is very good.
Faculty is very good they will help you and also the laboratories are very well equipped.
For computer science, the placement is top notched. Average salary is 8 lakhs per annum and the highest is about 50 lakhs. Bonding with alumni is weak but currently working on that.
UPES conducted its own exam we must have to clear that test and 60%marks in PCM is the basic eligibility for admission. UPESEAT exam conducted on its own and also on the basis of JEE Main.

There is various type of societies clubs and associations on campus. There are two major festivals Ignite and Urja. Life is good in college as it is situated under the mountains but regarding placements, the college is not very good but regarding studies, it is a very good option.
There are private hostels and hostels which were provided by UPES. Hostel fees approximately INR 1 lakh per year. PG availability is good and it is around INR 5000 per month. Food in college is very good and it is easily affordable approximately you can get in INR 50 per thali. Quality of classrooms Labs libraries and all other infrastructure are good.
Class timings, projects, exams, and assignments are good no complaint regarding that and teachers have very good technical knowledge. My overall experience related to studies was good but related to placement world very poor.

I have done an internship in Larsen and Toubro electrical and automation in Mumbai, Maharashtra. There was no stipend given to me. I have been hired by an information technology company known as IBM. I got my package as INR 300000 per annum. UPES Alumni network is ok not very good.
There was an admission test which was conducted by UPES and on the basis of rank, we were allowed to select the branches of our choice. The entrance examination is conducted by UPES itself. In my case it was like around I got at rank 3000 my branch which is electrical engineering.

There are many societies related to each and every branch that actively conducts many fests in the college. Moreover, college on its own behalf conducts two annual fests named URJAA and IGNITE. The college life of UPES os excellent.
The hostel fee is around INR 1lakh30000 rupees per year and there are hostels available outside the campus also that offers you the optimum quality of living. College infrastructure is also very good and it has secured its place among the topmost beautiful campuses in ASIA.
College starts at 9.30a.m. and ends at about 5.30p.m. The curriculum is well maintained and education quality is superb.
Talking about the fee there is a different fee for different semesters and you can say that 4-5lakhs rupees including hostel fee and all expenditure can easily be spent while studying in UPES. There are plenty of scholarship options available for the students and if you are among top 10% of your branch then you can surely get a scholarship. Not in all cases loans are needed but if they are then they can easily be availed from the banks like SBI, OBC etc.
Currently, I am in the first year so I am not eligible for the internship but my seniors have applied for the I tern and they are pursuing the intern in the industries related to the domain. Many of them are going to foreign for the internship. Talking about the placements, UPES is well known for its placements and many of the core companies like Microsoft, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai etc. Surely visits college every year for the placement and the average package is about INR 6-7Lakh rupees and touching the maximum of around INR 27 lakh rupees previous year. The Alumni network of our college is very strong as it has been serving nation past 13 years.
If you have a minimum of 60% marks in your intermediate and also in matriculation only then you are eligible to apply for UPES and there are two ways to get admission first me is the examination pathway(online and offline) and the second one is through boards merit. If you are able to solve 80%of your UPESEAT paper then there are the chances that you can get the admission.

There is 4 campus hostel in kandoli i.e. Where school of law is placed. Hostel fee is INR 1,40,000. Food is good. Everything is very good. WiFi is very fast.
Class timings are very complicated. It starts at 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with breaks. Projects and assignments are very useful for the purpose of examination. Quality of teaching is very good and it is not monotonous. The overall experience is good.
Per year course fee is INR 3 lakhs. Scholarships are for those students who achieve highest marks in their batches. Only one from different batches. Yes. Loans are needed.
UPES provides internships at the last year of the college. The percentage of batches which gets placements are very high.
UPES conduct their own exam for the admission of the students. It is divided into three main categories i.e. school of engineering, school of law and school of business. The exam which I have given was ULSAT. UPES also gives admission on the basis of CLAT ranks and 12th board ranks which is supposed to be more than 75 percent.

There are a lot of them to join and learn from them. Uurja and Ignite are the two main college fests. Apart from them there are also many events hosted by clubs and societies from time to time. The college life in general is very good. There is 0% ragging in the University which is itself a record.
There are 5 campus hostels and others are private hostels outside the campus. The hostel fee for a year is nearly INR 1,50,000 for an academic session for double sharing rooms. The PGs outside the University is also a good option as they are in the middle of the Bidholi village.
The daily routine for first-year students is packed from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. which also consists of breaks. It isn't necessary that every branch will have a huge amount of classes, but yeah it depends on a number of subjects of any particular branch. There is quite a fluency in the method of teaching. There are tutorial classes for the PCM subjects in which students practice numerical problems.

The scholarship options available to students are that their CBSE boards percentage should be above 90% so that there is a hope of getting a scholarship. Moreover, the scholarships are divided branch wise and the students can change the branch too if they need a scholarship. On an average, 1 out of 20 students in the University gets a scholarship. The University also promotes the education of underprivileged students and provides scholarships to them. The need of loan depends on the student's family.
Placements in computer science are quite well and the highest one can go up to INR 20 to INR 25 lakhs per annum. The University also provides internships to third-year undergraduate students as well. Key companies include Reliance, Schlumberger, Microsoft, TCS and many more. The average salary is about INR 4 to INR 5 lakhs per annum and the highest can go up to INR 25 lakhs per annum. Also, almost 99%of the batches get placed. The alumni network is very well in the campus and students often get to know about the success stories of successful alumni from the University.
The eligibility criteria for UPES is minimum 60% marks in CBSE boards. Also, admission is taken through UPESEAT exam too. I took the UPESEAT exam to get into the University. For my course cutoff is approx 9000 rank. This is because the University is having domain specific computer science branches due to which seats get increased.

The eligibility criteria of UPESEAT 2018 should be checked by the candidates before filling the application form. The candidates should have secured at least 60% marks at Higher and Senior Secondary Level (10th and 12th). Should have scored minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th). Non-Exam Pathway (up to 20% Seat Distribution) Board Merit: The candidates should have secured minimum 80% marks in 10th and 80% in 12th standard (or equivalent examination) in PCM. An aggregate to 80% should also have scored in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at Senior Secondary Level (12th standard).
There are so many Societies & Student chapters in UPES and they are too much activity. And UPES promotes their students to get engaged in Chapters and societies.
UPES has world-class infrastructure. There are Two separate campuses one for Engineering and another for law and management. There are so many types of equipment for practicals. Sufficient labs and a huge library .
Faculties in Every department are pretty good and UPES keeps hiring new Faculties according to the Need. Routine is Bit Hectic in First Year. Classes are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. but in later years it gets lighter so students can focus on themselves.
As UPES is a private college, the fee of UPES is little bit High. For One semester in CS branches are INR 1 Lakh average. But UPES delivers equivalent to what it takes as fees. And also UPES provide financial support to those who cannot afford by providing Bank Loans etc.
Placements in UPES are Pretty good. From many big Companies to Some very Successful startups comes for recruitment in UPES. Even Indian Navy and Army come for recruitment in UPES. Average Package of CS branches in UPES in INR 4- INR 4.5 Lakh.
