About the University

The Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun was established on 27th January 2005 by Govt. of Uttarakhand through the Uttarakhand Technical University Act. The University has been established in an area of 8.372 hectares and it is the only affiliating University of the state of technical institutions. The University imparts education in Graduate, Post Graduate, and Doctorate programs in various disciplines like Management, Engineering, Hotel Management, Computer Application, Pharmacy etc

Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates should have passed [10+2] exam conducted by the central board or any of its state board equivalents with a minimum of 45% of marks along with the respective subjects required for the course.

All the SC/ST candidates will have 5% of marks relaxation on the minimum aggregate.

Admission Procedure

• The very basic requirement for any candidate seeking admission into the institution is that he/she should have qualified the eligibility criteria set by the institution and the concerned entrance exam board.
• After this, once the candidates appear for the entrance test(GATE) in their desired subject and attain a certain score they will be allotted a rank based on their merit.The candidates have to go through the concerned counseling process and if allocated a seat in the institution, the candidates are expected to lock in or report back to the institution respectively.
• The candidates can also attain an admission into the institution by the institute quota(management quota) if any seats remain unallocated.

Hostel Details

The University has provided well-equipped archaeological laboratories, museums and the computer assisted language laboratory. This has not only helped in carrying out fundamental research but has created a conducive physical ambiance for the faculty. The University has boys' hostel accommodating 54 males and girls' hostel accommodating 45 female students with all the basic facilities. The University has maintained two playgrounds for the benefit of students.
