Placements & Internships : I got one summer internship after completion of 6 th semester from the college itself, the stipend was 15.5k.  IT companies like DXC, Infosys, Cognizant, Capegemini, SAP, Samsung, Microsoft, and my domain company AIRBUS were also hired this year. The average package is of 4 LPA. The highest package is of 24 LPA. The alumini network is good for conferences and mentorship.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : UPES has conducted its own exam and also considers the 12th marksheet for admissions. I took the UPES entrance exam. There was no cut-off for my course.

Fees & Scholarships : The course fee at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, [UPES] Dehradun is very high, it's INR 1.50 - 1.80 lakhs per semester. Last year fee reaches close to INR 2 Lakhs. There are girl scholarships, then students from Dehradun get scholarships, there is scholarship for top performers.  Yes, fees are very high and students take student loans to study here. Loans are easily supported by the college and banks in India.

Academics & Faculty : Classes start from 9:30 am to 5 pm late in the evenings. Quality of teaching depends on the faculty, the  teaching method is generic, faculties deliver teachings from a presentation, give assignments, also take doubts and questions/ numericals are solved too.  The overall learning experience is okay, but the college experience is really good, the place, the campus is very good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are a lot of hostels and the average hostel fee outside the campus ranges between is 1.35 - 2 LPA. Campus hostels are very expensive and their fee is 1.6-1.9 per year. there are a lot of PGs, flats and accommodation options, and the pg cost can range from 2.5 k to 15 k a month. food in college is okay, thali in college is of 60 rupees. A meal usually costs around 60-150 rupees. Classrooms are in good condition, labs are efficient, libraries are excellent, dining hall or food court is okay. Wifi speed is average, sometimes it's really fast. Infrastructure is excellent, campus is in a really good state.

Clubs & Associations : There are many clubs & societies, there are many committees and organisers that conduct events for students outside the campus too. Urja is the main college fest occurring between oct-nov, it is of 2 days, celebrities are called for live performances and there are club activities and competitions taking place. There is a tech-fest conducted between march-April where technical competitions are held. College life is a rich experience, making new friends from all across the country, events and competitions are great.
