Additional Details for UPES Dehradun

• Candidates must pass with a minimum of 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th).
• CAndidate must have scored 50% in PCM in 12th.
• Other fees includes Academic Service Fees.

Other fees include the following:

• Training and Certification Fee: To give real-life exposure to students and to make them industry-ready professionals, short-duration industrial tours/ training and/ or online training shall be organized for all students of full-time programs. The training may lead to certification in all programs except for Engineering PG, Law PG and BA (Public Policy), B.Com/ B.Sc. & Pharma students where it will be a credited course. A charge of INR 22500 (one time) is to be paid in the 5th semester in the case of UG Programs and the 2nd semester in the case of PG students. In case travel of industrial tour by air is necessitated, additional charges, if any, would be intimated to the students concerned for payment prior to commencement of the tour. For BBA Students must pay this amount along with the 3rd Semester fee.
• Personality Development Courses (PDC) Fee: To improve communication and soft skills and placement selection chances, it is mandatory for all the students (Except B. Com/ B.Sc.) to attend the Personality Development Program organized by UPES. PDP fee of Rs.7500 /- for PG shall be payable at the time of registration. PDP fee for UG programs is INR 20000, out of which half is payable at the time of admission and the balance half in the penultimate (second last) semester.
• Refundable Security: Refundable (interest-free) security amount of INR 20000 is also payable at the time of registration.
• Levies and Taxes: In case any taxes/ levies on fee are charged by the Central/ State/ Local Authorities/ Overseas Authorities from time to time, the same shall also be borne by the students.
• Convocation Fee: Student will be charged INR 1500 as a Convocation fee to be paid in the penultimate (2nd Last) semester. Since LLM is a one-year duration course, this fee is payable at the time of registration.
• Alumni Fee: INR 1500 will be payable at the time of registration.
• Technology Fee: INR 3200 will be charged per semester for the first year of the program for subsequent years the amount shall be communicated to students along with semester fees. It is mandatory for all students to bring their Laptop as per the configuration mentioned in the admission offer letter OR on the UPES website.
• Medical Insurance Fee: To cover medical expenses students are covered through an annual Group Medical Health Insurance Policy. An amount of INR 500 shall be charged from a student at the time of registration. For subsequent years the amount shall be communicated to students along with semester fees.
• I-CARD Fee: INR 500 to be paid for I-Card One Time, at the time of registration.
• Consumable Fee: To Cover the Material Cost incurred at Design LABS, B.Des Student is required to pay INR 10000 per year as a consumable fee.
• Students of BBA Aviation Management will additionally have to pay a one-time applicable IATA course fee (approx. INR 40000) in addition to the semester fee during registration in July 2021.

Scholarships at UPES Dehradun

The students of B.Tech course are offered 50% tuition fee waiver. The scholarship is offered to the students who have secured at least 80% aggregate in 10th and 12th standard along with 80% in PCM subjects. The scholarship will be renewed if the students keep acquiring a minimum SGPA of 8 out of 10 every year. 

Girl Child Scholarship

• UPES is offering 25% scholarship to the girl students for the academic year of 2020 for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The scholarship will be offered to the students for the entire duration of the program provided they maintain an attendance of a minimum of 75% and should not have any discipline case against them.

For Students belonging to Uttarakhand

• The scholarships are awarded purely on academic merit cum means.
• 25% of tuition fee for Boys and 35% for Girl students in the first year is awarded.
• Students can continue to get the scholarship in the upcoming semester if they are able to secure SGPA of 8/10.
• The candidates should have secured at least 80% in 10th and 12th standard
