IMI New Delhi Scholarships

The Institute offers scholarships on the basis of pre-determined criteria. The IMI New Delhi scholarships are available for the Fellow Program in Management [FPM] in the form of a stipend, grant, and other forms of financial support.


  • The students of the FPM are offered a monthly stipend of INR 25,000 [first and the second year] and INR 30,000 [third and the fourth year].
  • JRF/ SRF fellowship holders are not eligible for this fellowship.

Contingency Grants:

  • IMI New Delhi Fellowship holders get access to a grant for buying book/hardware/software etc.
  • A maximum of INR 30,000 per year is available to the FPM candidate in the third year and fourth year of the program that has completed the comprehensive exam.

Conference Support:

  • After completing the exam, the students will be eligible for the conference support for presenting and attending conferences. 

Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme: 

  • As per AICTE guidelines, IMI New Delhi will accord a waiver of the tuition fee component of the academic fees to a limited number of eligible candidates. Eligible candidates, as per AICTE guidelines, are those students whose total family income is less than INR 8 lacs per annum in the financial year immediately preceding the year of admission as certified by an authorized government signatory.

International Management Institute, New Delhi encourages students to take student driven academic/ professional initiatives to compliment their classroom learning to practical aspects of real business world. With 16 student driven clubs and commitees, the institute allows its students to be a part of activities which range from organizing special events focusing on current affairs to carefully planned symposia and lectures that enrich the participants' professional, academic and extra curricular interests. Various functional clubs (Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR, Economics, etc) and Commitees (Student's Council, Placement Commitee, Alumni Commitee) work in tandem to encourage experiental learning. 

IMI was launched in 1981 in collaboration with International Management Institute, Geneva (currently International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne). It entered into a strategic alliance with the Manchester Business School (MBS) in 1995. The MBS-IMI, India linkage operated under the Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) scheme of the British Council for faculty development, better administration, upgradation of library facilities, conduct and dissemination of research. The alliance with ESC Rennes International School of Business, France currently offers a Student Exchange Programme and so does the University of Austria, Graz. IMI also has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Asian Institute of Institute Technology, Bangkok, for student and faculty exchange programme and joint research, including executive development programme. IMI is the only Institute in the private sector to have received UNDP assistance for promoting internationally oriented management education. It has received support from several leading multinational and domestic private and public sector enterprises.

9/10 faculty members hold a Ph.D and those who don't have a work experience of more than 15 years in the industry. Cases, quizzes and projects are a part of the curriculum.

Tie-ups with more than 14 institutes worldwide. Students go on an exchange program every year. A no. of students studying in foreign universities also come to the campus.

Clubs and committees are very active. These are three committees - Corporate Relations and Placements Committee, The Alumni Committee and The Branding and Media Relations Committee. There are also a no. of functional and non-functional clubs.  Sports infrastructure is sound.

Almost a 1:1 gender ratio. The Cultural and Diversity club of IMI organizes a no. of parties.  Alcohol consumption is not tolerated within the campus premises. Hauz Khas Village is 10 mins away.

hectic schedule with a number of quizzes,projects,presentations and exams frequently,presentations to case study to taking part in competition each mode has its own learning experience. Exposure to the real world is provided with the help of guest lectures from industry experts.Faculty are well qualified and experienced and easily accessible for students, The faculty is decent but it is changing for the better.There are visiting faculty, most of them are permanent. There has been a drastic change in teaching since the new dean has taken charge and it is for the betterment of the students.

College has tie ups with university from China, France, Germany,etc. for student exchange program.Students can spend a semester abroad learning from the best faculty in Europe,also there is programs conducted with the help of the ministry of external affairs for students to help them for international exposure,but less number of students actually gets benefited from such type of programs due to many of them not know about it.Generally english is medium of communication due to diversity of students from different state.

There is a cultural fest but marketing summit is what the college is proud flaunt. There are some exchange summits also happening.College has around more than ten clubs and committee managed by students under the guidance of senior faculty members,These clubs and committees also give an opportunity to students to interact with the students of other B schools and learn from them.
