Industry Oriented Course Structure

For a management college to succeed, it is paramount that the program curriculum is designed to align with the current market trends and demands. IMI Delhi has been thorough with this parameter.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is the flagship programme. The courses are outlined to impart conceptual knowledge and polish their business acumen. Also, all the programmes are AICTE-approved.

Currently, the institute provide research programs or doctoral degree under the FPM (Fellow Program in Management). It has research facilities purely from a management prespective. Equipment or heavy duty machines as such are not a necessity for such academic research purposes.

Dedicated and Skilled Faculties

Faculties of IMI Delhi are highly qualified but also come with an experience of 7-8 years. They are dedicated towards teaching and helping the students achieve their academic as well as professional goals. The faculties at the college include a mix of permanent, visiting and industry experts. IMI Delhi is strategically located in an institutional area in Delhi. The college houses all the modern amenities and facilities of a management institution. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The premises are well-maintained and clean and hygienic. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart classes, projectors, sound systems, copyboards, computers, etc. 

The computer centre or computer lab has more than 700 computers installed with the latest software such as SAP, CorelDraw, Photoshop, SPSS, Visual Studio, and more. Each computer is also equipped with online assessment software for students grading, quizzes, feedback and attendance purposes.

IMI Delhi’s library has been robustly built with well-stocked books. It has over 25660 books and 6779 periodicals. Both online and printed resources are available at the library. It also houses good video resources.

The SODEXO runs the cafeteria and provides various food options. It is hygienic and clean. Even though the college does have all the modern facilities, the campus size is relatively small. Some of the features might feel cramped for the students. This is also the reason that the sports complex does not have many sports facilities as well.

Comfortable Hostel Facilities

Student accommodation is provided for both boys and girls by IMI, Delhi. However, the hostel seats are limited and fill up fast. There are two types of rooms available for the students to accommodate. The details of the type of room and fees are detailed below:

The rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and include all the necessary amenities. The hostel fees are slightly higher, and students may find it expensive to afford it after paying the program fees.

There is security inside the hostel facilities, ensuring a safe and secure environment. Students who are not able to find accommodation can find various paying guest (PG) options in the vicinity of the college at reasonable prices.

Expensive Course Fees

The program fees for IMI, Delhi, are considerably more expensive than many of its counterparts. Students may find it difficult to manage such a lumpsum amount. While the quality of education, exposure and placement provided is superior, the infrastructure and other extracurricular activities can be improved with such hefty charges.

Superior Placements

IMI Delhi provides one of the best placement opportunities. Students are given all the required training and are prepped thoroughly before they appear for the recruitment process. Expert sessions, soft skill sessions, industry lectures, and industry exposure all add up to make the students the best fit for the industry. There are over 100 recruiters who visit the campus for placements.

The highest CTC offered was INR 50 LPA, while the average was INR 17.01 LPA. IMI Delhi invites several industry professionals from companies such as KPMG India, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Korn Ferry, Myntra, Sales Force, and Piramal Group as part of their Industry Connect program for expert sessions.

Enjoyable Campus Life

At IMI Delhi, students are encouraged to participate in various social clubs and activities to engage with their peers and thereby foster peer interactions. Any management student must develop their leadership skills. The best way to hone it is to start engaging and taking initiative in various college activities from the college.

As far as diversity and inclusiveness are concerned, no such official data are available on the gender, minority or marginalised students. However, with such expensive fees, it does make it difficult for a major chunk of students coming from socially and economically weaker sections of society to get admission.

There are no strict rules regarding dress codes or uniforms. However, students are expected to dress in smart casuals. There are also no stringent rules and regulations pertaining to the code of conduct. But, students must behave respectfully.

There were no security breach incidents heard or reported by the students. There are security measures inside the college premises, making it a safe environment for the students. Annual fests and other cultural events are arranged regularly, making an engaging affair. However, sports events are not commonplace.

Since the college is located at a prime location in Delhi, students can visit several local hang outs and other tourist places as well. Local markets and joints are very nearby for their daily needs.

Is IMI Delhi Worth it?

If one can afford the expensive fees of IMI Delhi, then it is one of the best places to study management. It provides ample opportunities to hone industry-specific skills coupled with a robust course curriculum. They also provide a sizeable industry exposure to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge. Overall, it is a good college with a jovial campus life to study.
