International Management Institute, New Delhi admissions are made on the basis of the performance of the applicant in GMAT/ CAT/ XAT or written entrance test and an interview conducted by IMI. The University offers courses like PGDM, PGDHRM, PGDM (B&FS), Executive PGDM, FPM and Executive FPM. IMI has no reservation policy it offers seats only on the basis of merit.

International Management Institute Application Form 2020

  • Application form is available in the official college website and IMI Delhi only accepts online applications.
  • Complete the online application form and submit it along with the application fee, which is non-refundable. 
  • Cost of an application form for an applicant applying for any one of the two-year programmes of IMI Delhi will be INR 2200/-.
  • If the applicant desires to apply for other programmes also then the candidate is required to pay INR 500/- per programme additionally.
  • For Executive - FPM online payment of INR 2000/- should be made.
  • The admission fee can be paid through Credit Card / Debit Card / Bank Transfer through the designated payment gateway.
  • Any receipts need not be sent to IMI’s Admission Office in such a case.
  • Complete applications including application fees should be submitted online by midnight of the given final date. Incomplete forms are liable to be rejected summarily.

International Management Institute Admission Fees

For different courses in IMI New Delhi fees structure varies, according to the course duration and other factors. For PGDM, PGDM (HRM) & PGDM (B&FS) which last for 3 years have a total fee of almost INR 3 Lakhs per semester, if it is self-sponsored. And if company-sponsored almost INR 4-5 Lakhs per semester.

Entrance Exams Accepted by IMI

IMI New Delhi selects candidates through different ways for PGDM and FPM programs.

Entrance Exams Accepted for PGDM Programmes

  • For PGDM, PGDHRM, PGDM (B&FS) and Executive PGDM.
  • Admission in IMI New Delhi is based on their scores in Common Admission Test (CAT) and GMAT.


  1. IMI will obtain the test scores of those candidates who have appeared in the CAT examination, from IIM and have also applied to IMI for the PGDM programmes.
  2. Admission to the programme is through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by The Indian Institute of Management. It is usually conducted in November.


  1. Foreign candidates and Indians are eligible for GMAT if they have written the exam in the given time period.
  2. Candidates will be required to furnish their GMAT scores while applying and provide a self-attested copy of the GMAT score sheet to the Admission Office for verification at the time of personal interview.


  • Candidates who have appeared for the CAT 2018 examination / have a valid GMAT score and have applied to IMI, Delhi will be shortlisted on the basis of information provided in the application form, CAT scores or GMAT score, educational background, marks in 10th, 12th, graduation and work experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process.
  • Past academic performance in graduation, class XII & X, Essay Writing, Psychometric Test, Personal Interview besides other qualitative parameters are the main components for the final selection process.
  • XAT scores are also considered for Executive PGDM program.

Entrance Exams Accepted for FPM

  • For FPM and Executive FPM.
  • Admission process for the FPM of IMI-Delhi is a three-step process:-
    • Admission form & indication of research interest:
      Complete filling the application form. Also, add an abstract of 1000-1500 words about the proposed research area/topic. 
    • Admission/ Eligibility tests:
      Candidate should have cleared any of the following tests:-
      • Common Admission Test (CAT)/ GMAT
      • Test conducted by IMI for the program
      • Recently qualified JRF/ SRF candidates can also apply (should not be later than two years of the JRF offer letter) in the relevant areas of specialization but they would need to appear in the test conducted by IMI
    • Admission Interview:
      Candidates will be called for an interview for final selection based on the research abstract and the scores obtained in CAT/ GMAT/ IMI internal test, evaluation of past academic performance and relevant work experience.

Admission Criteria
  • Bachelor’s equivalent degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, from a recognised university in India or abroad.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification must entail a minimum of three years of education, after completing higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible, provided they furnish proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2020.
  • Fresh graduates from Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education.
Admission is based on merit and Entrance tests.

  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time work experience, post-qualification.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. The candidates interested in the International module must possess a valid passport with expiry not earlier than December of next year.
Fellow Program in Management (FPM)
  • Minimum score of 55% marks in all of their public examinations starting with the secondary level. Work experience in industry or academics will be given due credit in the selection process.
  • Must have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities:
    • A Masters’ degree or an equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks
    • A Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade point average plus a minimum of one year’s work experience.
    • Any professional qualifications such as CA, CMA and CS with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. CA/CMA/CS must also possess a graduation degree from a university recognized by AIU.
Executive FPM
  • The candidate should have a complete a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience working in the corporate sector / as fulltime teaching academic.
  • The applying candidate must possess one of the following educational qualifications:
    • Masters’ degree or an equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade point average plus a minimum of one year’s work experience.
    • Any professional qualifications such as CA, CMA and CS with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from a University recognized by AIU.
