Shree Devi Institute of Technology is an engineering college located in Mangalore, Karnataka. It was founded by the Shree Devi Education Trust in 1992. The college offers regular training programs, workshops, and industrial visits along with curricular activities to strengthen the skills of students, thus making them more competent in the industry where there is a lot of pre-existing competition. It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Shree Devi Institute of Technology UG Admission: Course, Eligibility, Admission Details

Admission to the undergraduate programs is made based on the merit rank obtained by the qualified student in the entrance test conducted by the Karnataka State Government (KCET) or COMEDK. The minimum qualification for application is having a 45% aggregate in the 12th standard, with physics and mathematics as the compulsory subjects. The reservations are made as follows. 

1. KCET- 45% of the total seats.
2. COMEDK- 30% of the total seats.
3. Management Quota- 25% of the total seats.

Shree Devi Institute of Technology offers 3 different specializations in the postgraduate technology course such as Computer Science & Engineering, Digital Electronics & Communication, and Construction Technology. The college also offers Master of Computer Applications and an MBA program with 7 specializations such as Marketing, Finance, Information System, Human Resource Management, Production, International Business, and Banking & Finance. The duration of the MCA course is 3 years whereas, the MBA and M.Tech courses are 2 years long.

Admission to the postgraduate courses is granted on the basis of the entrance examination for the respective fields. M.Tech aspirants are required to give either GATE or PGCET. MBA aspirants are required to give PGCET, CMAT, or KMAT. MCA aspirants are required to give KMAT or PGCET. All applicants are required to complete their bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 50% marks at the qualifying examination. Students under reservation are allowed a relaxation of 5%.

Applicants must give the KCET or COMEDK. The printed application form along with the rank card is to be submitted at the college. Applicants must also submit a recent passport-sized photograph, a receipt of fees paid as well as all necessary documents. Admission is based on the SDIT fee structure.
