Suryasis2011's Review on Jadavpur University, Calcutta

Our college did provide placement and internship opportunities . All 27 of our classmates were placed before our last semester results. During our classroom days , we had gone for industrial visits as well. I myself had done training at united breweries .

The college infrasture was good. We had airconditioned labs and library. Rest were normal. Wifi was also introduced during my final year. Hostels were also good. There were separate hostels for boys and girls.

I entered Jadavpur university by getting a rank of 1576 in WBJEE. The stream I got admission was Food Technology and Biochemical engg . 

The academics and faculty was very helpful. They used to guide us like primary school teachers . From giving notes to suggestions, repeating topics facuty at j.u was very good.

The fees structure was very less. I had done 4 years of engg at a mere 15k . Scholarshps were also provided to students who are needy. Preference is also given during allocation of Hostels to the needy students.

There were lots of clubs namely JUDC ( drama clab ) , Debate club , photography , music and what not . We had a gym that allowed free entry to its students. We had 2 fests , srijan being the tech fest and sanskriti being the cultural fests.
