It was formed under a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India, the Department of Higher Education and the Govt. of West Bengal. RCC Institute of Information Technology, [RCCIIT] Kolkata Eligibility Criteria:

Below are the given eligibility criteria along with the courses offered at the RCC Institute of Information Technology.

Course	Eligibility
B.Tech	The first-year admissions for B.Tech courses are done through the counseling process conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board [WBJEEB]. The candidate needs to secure a rank in either WBJEE or AIEEE to attain counseling conducted by WBJEEB.
B.Tech [Lateral Entry]	The admissions for 2nd year B.Tech courses are done through the Lateral entry scheme and the candidate should have a Diploma in Engineering/ Technology with a minimum of 60% marks from any Polytechnic Institute recognized by AICTE.
M.Tech	The student must have completed B.Tech from an AICTE approved university. The student should have a valid score in GATE and PGET for admissions
MCA	The candidate must have completed BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc/ BCA with at least 50% marks [45% marks for SC/ ST students] at each level of education from an AICTE approved university or equivalent.
