D-ART 2023 examination notice will be released soon on the official website. The registration process for the D-ART exam will start anytime soon. Candidates can start applying once the registration form is available. The admit card will be available to the eligible candidates after the completion of the registration process. D-ART 2023 Introduction

Dalham - Assessment & Review Tool (D-ART) is India's first-ever national-level common entrance exam for NON-STEM programmes like creative and liberal education. More than 30 colleges including Chitkara University, Lovely Professional University, Manav Rachna University, World University of Design, and Sharda University will accept the D-ART quotient at the undergraduate level from 2023. The DALHAM Foundation is an independent not-for-profit social organisation dedicated to advancing, promoting and practising NON-STEM education in the country.

D-ART exam is a national-level entrance test that will be conducted from 2023 twice a year, in January and August. Part A (Human Factor Exam) of the D-ART 2023 exam is expected to be held in the month of July 2023 and Part B (Knowledge Validation Exam) will be conducted in August 2023. Part A will have to be taken online and the candidates have to submit the test within 7 days. Whereas Part B will be conducted at various test centres in 30 major cities across India. The D-ART 2023 exam quotient will be accepted by both government-run and privately managed institutions in India for the following UG courses:

  • Arts (B.A.),
  • Media (B.A. in Media),
  • Architecture (B.Arch.),
  • Liberal Arts (B.L.A. / A.L.B),
  • Design (B.Des.),
  • Humanities (B.A.).

Sessions: Part B (Knowledge Validation Exam) will be conducted in 3 slots:

  • Morning Session: 9 AM - 12 PM.
  • Afternoon Session: 1 PM - 4 PM.
  • Evening Session: 5 PM - 8 PM.

D-ART Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates should meet up certain eligibility criteria to appear for D-ART 2023. The eligibility criteria is listed below.

  • Educational Qualification: Students should have passed/studied in 10+2 or equivalent, from a recognized university/board are eligible to apply for D-ART 2023 exam.
  • Age Limit: The lower age limit to apply is 16 years and the upper age limit is 26 years to write D-ART 2023. Also, students who have taken the +2 or 12th exam before 2016 and students expected to take the 12th after 2023 cannot apply for the D-ART 2023 exam.
  • Number of Attempts: There is no limit to the number of attempts a candidate can take D-ART.
  • Nationality: Even though right now D-ART quotients are accepted only by colleges in India, students of all nationalities can apply and write D-ART 2023 exam.
  • Validity: The D-ART quotient is valid for 2 years.

D-ART Application Form 2023

The application form will be available on the official website of the Dalham Foundation. Candidates can follow the below steps to fill in the D-ART application form 2023.

  • Step  1: Visit the official website of D-ART - dalhamfoundation.org/register
  • Step 2: Candidates have to first register by entering their full name, email ID and a new password.
  • Step 3: After logging in candidates have to provide their personal details parent's name, gender, address, contact number and academic details like marks obtained in 10th and 12th or equivalent, qualifying board, year of passing etc.
  • Step 4: Out of 20 D-ART 2023 test centres, candidates have to choose 3 cities in the order of their preference.
  • Step 5: Candidates also have to choose any 3 electives out of Arts, Architecture, Design, Liberal Arts, Humanities and Media (DALHAM).
  • Step 6: The next step is to upload the scanned copies of the following documents:
    • Recent colour photos,
    • Signature,
    • Portfolio,
    • Marksheet of 10th,
    • Marksheet of 12th (if already have).
  • Step 7: Pay the examination fee. Every candidate irrespective of their category has to pay the D-ART 2023 test fee of INR 4999+GST. This fee also includes mock tests for candidates to practice. The candidates can register till the specified date if they miss the last date of registration, by paying added late fee. Candidates can pay the Application Fee only online through Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card.
  • Step 8: After the payment of the fee, the D-ART dashboard will be available for the candidates to edit and update their personal and academic details.

D-ART Exam Pattern 2023

The D-ART 2023 exam has 2 parts. Part A also called Human Factor, is completely online and candidates will be given 7 days to submit. This paper is a prerequisite to appearing for Part B. Part B which is also known as Knowledge Factor, has to be taken from designated exam centres. It is online for Arts, Liberal Arts, Humanities and Media. And, it is offline for  Architecture and Design papers.

D-ART Human Factor Exam

The instructions about this stage will be sent to the candidates through emails. According to these guidelines, within 7 days candidates have to submit the Human Factor paper.

D-ART Knowledge Validation Exam

This will take place at the designated exam centres at the slots mentioned on the candidates' hall tickets.  All 3 papers Comprehension, Elective and Aptitude will contain objective type i.e. multiple-choice questions (MCQs). However, the Elective paper on Architecture and Design will contain open-ended questions to test the drawing and visualisation skills of the candidates.

The topics of comprehension may include Accounting, Anthropology, Architecture, Economics, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Environmental Studies, Geography, Psychology, Sports, Leadership, Contemporary Studies, Journalism, History, Archaeology, Literature, Metaphors and Narratives, TV & Media, Gender, Cultural Studies, Mythology, Performing Arts, Social Enterprise, Design & Sociology, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Political Science, Visual Arts, Theatre and Films.

D-ART Admit Card 2023

D-ART 2023 hall ticket for the Knowledge Validation exam will be available on the official website at dalhamfoundation.org, 10 days before the exam in August 2023. Candidate must carry government-issued photo ids proof such as Voter Id, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, or Passport along with the Admit Card. Candidates who have chosen more than one elective will have to appear for the additional electives, each elective adding 50 minutes to the exam time.

D-ART 2023 Results

Results will be available on the candidates' dashboard 30 days after the exam at the official website. The DALHAM will send a copy of the result to the candidates' registered email ID too. Normalised marks of both Part A and B marks will be used to calculate the final score called D-ART Quotient. It is calculated using the following formula.

DALHAM Quotient = Marks Obtained after normalisation/Total Marks

Along with D-ART Quotient, each candidate will be star rated according to the marks obtained and competencies measured. After the declaration of the result, candidates will have to apply to the colleges listed on the dashboard. The scores will be automatically sent to the applied colleges. Students can choose up to 10 colleges/universities to send their scores. The colleges will start accepting D-ART scores from the 2023 enrollment.
