For an individual to achieve their dream job of being a teacher in the state of Chhattisgarh, He/She must apply for the Chhattisgarh TET, a state-level examination. This exam is mandatory and puts the individual a step closer to achieving his/her dreams and gives them an opportunity to serve the state government by educating young minds to build a bright future.

What is CG TET?

The State Government of Chhattisgarh has framed a body called Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board to conduct the Chhattisgarh Teachers Eligibility Test (CG TET). This is done to set a standard for applicants who wish to be teachers. This board creates two papers, Paper 1 is for Primary Level, Individuals who want to teach standards 1 to 5, and Paper 2 is for Upper Primary, Individuals who want to teach standards 6 to 8. Candidates will be given 3 hours to answer 150 MCQ questions on the OMR Sheet.

CG TET 2021 Exam Date

The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) releases a notification every year regarding the number of vacancies and the important dates related to CG TET. This notification is released on the official website. Candidates must check the website from time to time to track the latest updates regarding the Chhattisgarh Teachers Eligibility Test (CG TET 2021).

The website has not released the exact dates but has given tentative dates so candidates can prepare accordingly. The final date was initially in the month of April but has now been postponed and will be informed to the candidates soon.

CG TET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria is a must for every applicant to go through before filing the Application form. The eligibility criteria clearly show which individuals will be allowed to appear for the exam and which individuals cannot. The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board has kept in mind the quality of the teachers they would want to teach the young minds of Chhattisgarh and decided the criteria.

If these eligibility criteria are not met then the qualifying results do not hold good for the relevant individuals and they will not be allowed to teach. The prescribed criteria are as follows. The candidates must go through them thoroughly to make sure that they satisfy all the eligibility criteria of the relevant post before applying.

Paper 1 Primary Level (standard 1 to 5)

  • Candidates must pass class 12 or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Education.

OR

  • Candidates must pass class 12 or it's equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Candidates must have a Graduation degree with a minimum of 45% marks and must have completed Bachelors in Education.
  • Candidate must pass class 12 or its equivalent and have a 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

  • Candidates must pass class 12 or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Paper 2 Upper Primary Level (Standard 6 to 8)

  • Candidate must be a graduate with a 2-years Diploma in Education.

OR

  • Candidates must have a Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks and must have completed Bachelors in Education in Pedagogy/ 2-years Bachelors in Education.

OR

  • Candidate must pass class 12 or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and have a 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

  • Candidate must pass class 12 or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and a 4-years degree in B.A/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.A.Ed

  • Candidates must pass class 12 or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education).

CG TET 2021 Application Form

The application form for CG TET will be available on the official website. Candidates must register using their valid email address and phone number. Both of these must be working(in-use) because important information will be communicated through them. The candidate must log in and fill the details and pay the application fee to successfully register for the exam. If a candidate fails to register, she/he will not be allowed to appear for the exam. The candidates are also advised to download the application form and receipt of payment for future reference.

Note:

  1. The CG TET application form will be available in online mode only.
  2. There is no correction window, so applicants must fill the form correctly.
  3. The form will only be considered as successfully submitted if the payment of the application fee has also been successfully made.
  4. Candidates must scan and keep copies of important documents for uploading them while filling the application form.

CG TET 2021 Admit Card

On successfully filling the application form the candidates will be issued CG TET 2021 admit card. The Admit Card will be issued 2 weeks before the exam is conducted. The candidate must download and print out the admit card. The admit card must be carried along with the candidate to the examination hall. If a candidate fails to carry the admit card along with them then they shall not be allowed to appear for the exam.

The admit card serves as proof that the registration form has been successfully submitted. The candidate must also carry either passport, voter id, or Aadhaar card to the examination hall. These serve as identity proof for the invigilator.

  • Candidate should enter the application number and date of birth.
  • CG TET 2021 Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Candidate should download the admit card by choosing the 'download now' option.
  • Taking a print out of the admit card is advised.

CG TET 2021 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern gives candidates a gist of the question paper and gives them an idea as to how to prepare. It helps a candidate in the preparation when the exams are coming closer. The exam is for a time period of 3 hours in which candidates must answer questions that will be in the form of MCQs.

Candidates will be provided with an OMR sheet in which they must colour the answer they feel is right for the particular question. There will be 150 questions and the candidate must answer them all as no options are given.

CG TET 2021 Syllabus

CG TET exam syllabus is decided by the Chhattisgarh Board and if available on the official website. Candidates must go through the CG TET syllabus and prepare accordingly. The syllabus can also be downloaded. The syllabus is the same as the students of the respective standards but the applicants will be tested on the depth of understanding and logical thinking of the subjects. The syllabus gives a glimpse of what could be asked in each subject and how does a candidate need to prepare.

  1. Child Development and Pedagogy: Questions asked will be with respect to educational psychology and learning process of children in the age group of 11-14 years
  1. Hindi: Questions asked will be based on the understanding of the Language and communication skills.

  1. Math: Questions will be framed in a manner to test the principles, problems, and understanding of the subject.

Note: Although the syllabus is the same but the level of toughness will be higher.

CG TET 2021 Cut-Off

Cut-off marks are qualifying marks that decide whether a candidate has cleared the exam or has failed the exam. The candidates are supposed to get marks more than the CG TET cut-off marks to qualify for the counseling process round. These limits are set to make sure that the teachers have the basic knowledge and skill to teach the young minds and have an in-depth understanding of the subjects.

General Category: The candidate must score at least 60% marks or more in the exam.

SC/ST Category: The candidate must score at least 40% marks or more in the exam.

OBC Category: The candidate must score at least 50% marks or more in the exam

Physically Disabled Category: The candidate must score at least 50% marks or more in the exam.

CG TET 2021 Result

CG TET 2021 results will be announced on the official website. The candidate must log in using the user name and password set by him to check the results. If the candidate has qualified then she/he must download and print the CG TET 2021 results and take it along with themselves for the counseling round along with other documents.
