AP DEECET Eligibility Criteria 2023: Age Limit and Qualifications

AP DEECET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Provided below for reference are the eligibility requirements expected from candidates planning to sit for the AP DEECET 2023. Students must confirm their eligibility before starting to fill out the online application form.

  • Student must be an Indian citizen.
  • On Sep 1, 2022, of the admissions year, students must be 17 years old or older. There shall be no maximum age.
  • The candidate must be an Andhra Pradesh resident and meet the local/nonlocal status requirements established by the state's educational institutions.
  • All interested candidates must have passed the 10+2 or a comparable test from an Andhra Pradesh or Telangana approved board.
  • Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50%, and SC, ST, and PH candidates must have obtained 45%.
  • Those who completed their intermediate education with vocational courses are ineligible to apply.

AP DEECET Educational Qualifications

AP DEECET educational qualifications are as follows.

  • Qualification: The candidates applying for admission to 2 years D.EI.Ed course should have passed the two-year intermediate examination (of the pattern 10+2) in any discipline from a recognized board.
  • Aggregate: The applicants should have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their qualifying board (45% in the case of SC/ ST applicants).

AP DEECET Nationality

Candidates must be Indian nationals and must satisfy local/ non-local status requirements as per the provisions prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 and the regulations of the School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh.

AP DEECET Age Limit

Candidates must satisfy the age criteria given below to be eligible for the AP DEECET 2023.

  • Candidates applying for the D.EI.Ed program must be a minimum of 17 years of age as of Sep 1, during the year in which the candidate is taking admission.
  • There is no restriction on the upper age limit as per the AP DEECET eligibility criteria 2023.

AP DEECET Subject-wise Eligibility Criteria 2023

To be eligible for the AP DEECET, candidates must have studied the following subjects at the Intermediate level.

  • Mathematics
  • Physical Sciences: Physics and Chemistry
  • Biological Sciences: Botany and Zoology
  • Social Studies: Civics, Geography, Economics, History, and Commerce.

Note: Candidates who have studied vocational courses will not be eligible.

AP DEECET 2023 Application Form

The application forms for AP DEECET 2023 will be on the official website. The candidates could apply for the exam online. They must check if they were eligible to appear for the exam before starting AP DEECET application process.

The candidates were required to pay an application fee before submitting the exam form. The students belonging to different categories must check their application fee as it differs for each category. The payment of the fee can only be made online.
