All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination [AIPGMEE] Overview:
All India PG Medical Entrance Examination is conducted for candidates aspiring to pursue courses like Doctor of Medicine, Master of Surgery, or other Post Graduate programs in the medical sector. Candidates with 50% All India quota can apply for these courses. Organized by the National Board of Examination, this medical examination is conducted every year. Qualifying candidates are provided admissions in MBBS and BDS courses, depending on their scores, into both Government and Private medical colleges across the country.
To improve the quality of medical education in the country, the Government of India, in 1975, decided to establish The National Board of Examination (NBE). NEET PG, are organized by the NBE for candidates aspiring to get admissions into MD/MS/Diploma course in the medical colleges of different states of India.
The exam has been replaced by NEET PG. The AIPGMEE is no longer conducted.
