University College for Women is a constituent of Osmania University established in the year 1924. Located in a sprawling campus of 42 acres in Hyderabad, the college is celebrating the successful completion of 93 years of empowering women. The goals and objectives of the college are to offer quality education to women and empower them with information and awareness that will enable them to cope with challenges at various levels and spheres and to strive for excellence in the fields of teaching, research, employment and entrepreneurship. 

Osmania University College for Women is accredited 'five stars' in the first cycle and 'A' Grade in the next two cycles of NAAC. The college attained autonomous status in the year 1989 and its mission is to make young women strong and confident by imparting transformational education that is intellectually stimulating and academically aspiring women in achieving their goals.

The college has state-of-the-art classrooms, computer labs, seminar halls fitted with LCDs, auditorium, open-air theatre, sports room, gymnasium, sports ground, well-equipped laboratories, Commerce lab, English language lab, Cafeteria, etc. for the students. The institution utilizes optimally the existing infrastructure facilities for Diploma and Certificate Courses, Workshops, Seminars, Extension Lectures, Personality Development Classes, Students’ Programs. 

Being a Constituent College for Women, it caters to a large number of first-generation learners; about 4000 students from most of the districts of the newly constituted state of Telangana. Osmania University College for Women courses is of UG & PG levels. The College being autonomous offers various combinations of Undergraduate Courses (regular & self-finance programs) under BA, B.Sc (Physical & Biological Sciences) and B.Com and 13 Post Graduate Programs along with four Diploma and two Certificate Courses.

• The health centre inside the campus has a Medical Officer and Consulting Gynaecologist.

• A canteen is open for the students and the faculty from 9 am to 5 pm on all working days.
• Cyber Centre is located inside the campus that is equipped with 40 systems and software, has internet access and there are four systems exclusively for physically challenged students.

OUCW Scholarships:

Osmania University College for Women scholarship programs is given to eligible students and students belonging to the SC/ST/BC/EBC/PHC categories. Details of the scholarship programs are mentioned below:

• All the candidates/students who belong to the SC/ST category and whose parents' income is below INR 2,00,000 per annum are eligible for SC/ST scholarship; for BC, EBC & Minority candidates if the parent’s income is below Rs. 1, 00,000/ per annum as per Government of Telangana orders. 
• Listed Backward Class-Scholarships (LBC) students are eligible for scholarships in OUCW.
• Students belonging to the Economically Backward Class (EBC) are eligible for scholarships.
• Minority scholarships are also available.

Note:  Scholarship is given to eligible students who have a minimum of 75% attendance and have cleared their entire hostel, and other fee dues and whose academic record is satisfactory.

Osmania University College for Women Placements:

Osmania University College for Women placement and training cell is dedicated to providing intensive training programs to graduate students. The college is registered to TASK - Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge and for the first time in history, 100 students of each UG faculty registered with TASK and have availed all the benefits. The cell conducts training programs on interview skills, team building, group skills, time management, group discussions, and many more.

Many companies come to the college to conduct placement drives and students have got jobs in top companies. Some students also got selected through TASK.
