About Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi

Jamia Hamdard University is providing the students with excellent education. Students passing out from here do not have to wait for employment. It is located at Hamdard Nagar, Delhi. It is a UGC recognised University. It has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A Grade. The University was set up with the formation of a small clinic (Unani) in 1906. The god work was done by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, a celebrated practitioner of Unani System of Medicine. Hakeem Abdul Hameed, an illustrious son of an illustrious father (Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed) carried the legacy forward and now the University is scaling new heights.

M.Sc(Botany)

Passed B. Sc. or equivalent examination from a recognized university with Botany/Plant Sciences as one of the subjects securing at least 45% marks in the aggregate

Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.

Ph.D. (Botany)

Passed M.Sc. in the relevant subject securing at least 55% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade. Department of Biotechnology and Department of Medical Elementology and Toxicology accept candidates to a Ph.D. program who possess MSc degree in Chemistry or any subject of Biological Sciences.

Candidate having M.Sc. degree in Clinical Research with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade shall be eligible to be considered for admission to Ph.D. programme in Toxicology and Biotechnology subject to condition that he/she has qualified NETJRF /NET-LS or equivalent National level test conducted by government agencies such as UGC/ CSIR etc

Qualified NET-JRF /NET-LS or equivalent National level test conducted by government agencies such as UGC/ CSIR Or as mentioned under the Procedure for Admission to Ph.D. Programme in this Prospectus.

The Candidates from Pharmacy stream may also apply for different disciplines in PhD in Science subject to NET-JRF/NET-LS qualification.

  • The rooms are very spacious and also very well furnished and maintained.
  • The rooms are neat and clean.
  • There is common room in each and every hostel.
  • Reading rooms, dining hall, visitors’ room are being provided for the users of the hostels (in terms of staying).
  • A brand new hostel for the girls was constructed that can accommodate around 125 students. The Islamic Development Bank extended its financial hand.

  • Each lecture is about 2hours and projects exams are conducted by the faculty.
  • Quality and method of teaching is very good.
  • Overall experiance in the college is nice.
CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:
  • All festivals are main festivals in Hamdard.
  • College life is awesome and after attending classes we can spend time with friends in sports complex or in canteen.
  • There are many gardens and maggie point.

  • The Quality of teaching and method of teaching is good.
  • The overall experience is nice.
CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:
  • No student societies But there are clubs and associations ( specmay) are available at Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi.
  • Every department conducts their own main fest (sparks for manahment, anastmosis for medical, nerdz for betech) and mosaic founder's day.
  • Life in college is learning with extra activities like sports, workshop, gym etc.

  • Jamia Hamdard is well known for their discipline and management.
  • We have a daily routine from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM scheduling daily and time-to-time classes including labs and monthly assignments with excellent and knowledgeable faculties are available.
  • There have been the usage of the modern method along with conventional methods of learning.
  • I have completed my first semester and overall experience had been wonderful and vulnerable.
CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:
  • Jamia Hamdard has some renewed societies if talking especially about BTech. We have IEEE and CSI organisation that pursue and motivate students about their life and agenda.
  • They also organise convocation, cultural activities, live performances and much more for students.
  • Jamia Hamdard organises fest (most popular ), convocations and many more things from time-to-time for every branch.
  • The life at Jamia Hamdard is full of experience, joy and knowledge. A student coming out of Jamia Hamdard would be a disciplinarian.

  • Jamia hamdard has been awarded an 'A' grade deemed university status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India. The university has a very large campus with studying faculties, unani hospital (majeedia) and HAHC hospital. University have also got a reserved forest, botanical gardens and nurseries. Placement given here is 100% for almost all the courses.The infrastructure and management of the university is well maintained. The university is known for its discipline and academic performance. The university also provide special seats to foreign national students. Well maintained hostels are available within the campus. Professors and teaching staffs are talented. Campus is 100% safe and secure. A student can build up a great carrier here.

  • Class usually starts at 9:30 A.M. We have 1-2 hours lecture and after that next lecture starts.1 hour of lunch break and college gets over at 4:30 P.M. All the teachers are good and they teach well.
  • Method of teaching is also fine.
  • Overall experience is fine. Only one problem in college that is our building is not up to the mark. Classes are not that good and chairs and all are of poor quality.
CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:
  • There are 2-3 societies you can join in college.
  • Our technical and cultural fest name is nerds which is organised by engineering department only.
  • Life in college is amazing. You enjoy a lot and it's fun to roam around in university.
