  • Class timings in Jamia Hamdard University are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Projects, assignments, and exam are conducted by the college to the students.
  • The quality and method of teaching are good.
  • Overall experience in college is good.
CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:
  • There 3 societies for cultural events in the campus and 2 compounds are for sports events, one sports complex is for outdoor games and one is for indoor games in Jamia Hamdard University.
  • Gym facility is also available in the college

  • 75% attendance is compulsory.
  • The faculty are helpful, skilled and supportive.
  • The overall experience was good in Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi.

  • There is no such clubs or associations in Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi.
  • There is a university fest celebrated and a faculty fest in which many competitions are announced. Sports day is also celebrated.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • Jamia hamdard has been awarded an \'A\' grade deemed university status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India. The university has a very large campus with studying faculties, unani hospital (majeedia) and HAHC hospital. University have also got a reserved forest, botanical gardens and nurseries. Placement given here is 100% for almost all the courses.The infrastructure and management of the university is well maintained. The university is known for its discipline and academic performance. The university also provide special seats to foreign national students. Well maintained hostels are available within the campus. Professors and teaching staffs are talented. Campus is 100% safe and secure. A student can build up a great carrier here.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • Class usually starts at 9:30 A.M. We have 1-2 hours lecture and after that next lecture starts.1 hour of lunch break and college gets over at 4:30 P.M. All the teachers are good and they teach well.
  • Method of teaching is also fine.
  • Overall experience is fine. Only one problem in college that is our building is not up to the mark. Classes are not that good and chairs and all are of poor quality.
CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:
  • There are 2-3 societies you can join in college.
  • Our technical and cultural fest name is nerds which is organised by engineering department only.
  • Life in college is amazing. You enjoy a lot and it\'s fun to roam around in university.

  • The daily routine is very tight.
  • Teachers are good and the methods used are easy to understand.
  • The over all experience in college is nice.

  • I have no idea about the socities, clubs and association of the college.
  • Sports day, (all sports)  mosaic by mbbs are the main festival on campus.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • College opens at 8am and classes are from 9am-5am. We have 2 sessional exams and one semester exam and one assignment per each subject.
  • We have teachers from IITs, and most teachers are Phd\'s in their respective fields.
  • Jamia hamdard has more than 300 acre campus, and having a big campus is fun, you can roam around all day.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY: Classes are punctual even when there is any fest. Teacher's are punctual too. Monthly test are taken, a benefit points for semester exams. Different Projects are given to different students.
FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE: There was partnership exits with Saudi Arabia. They contributed 32 crore Rs to the college. There are many students who are non-Indians,like from Iran, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia. Fee for foreign student is expensive. There are many languages taught like Persian, Urdu and many more.
SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE: Good social environment.Students and faculty both are helpful. and teacher teach to students that live with helpfull parson..

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • There is a monthly test which includes a final exam at Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi. Assignments are given either once or twice, depend on the teacher, which also includes in the final semester.
  • Projects play major role for understanding and marks too.
  • There many courses in Jamia Hamdard. In B.tech, where courses are Computer Science and Electrical Communication Engineering.  
  • Teaching quality is good. Each teacher is attentive to every student of the class.
FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE:
  • There are foreign students who study in Jamia Hamdard. They are from Iran, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and much more.
  • The university has excellent priority in Arab countries.
  • The fees for Foreign student is expensive, it\'s around $5500.
  • There a number of language courses, they are Iran, Persian, Arabic, Urdu and much more.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY: Jamia Hamdard is a government-aided deemed university accredited in category ‘A’ for two consecutive terms by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). It is “perhaps the only university in Delhi accredited by NAAC for two consecutive terms,” Located in south Delhi, the university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD/MPhil and diploma and certificate programmes in medicine, pharmacy, paramedical and allied health sciences, nursing, computer science, engineering and federal studies.
FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE: , “Our university is known for its strong research base in health and basic sciences and is recognised both nationally and internationally. It has state of the art facilities and recently received a grant of US$ five million for international collaboration. Every year, approximately 2,300 students apply for various courses, out of which almost 15% students are foreigners from 32 different countries.

About The College

Jamia Hamdard University is providing the students with excellent education. Students passing out from here do not have to wait for employment. It is located at Hamdard Nagar, Delhi. It is a UGC recognized University. It has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A Grade. The University was set up with the formation of a small clinic (Unani) in 1906. The god work was done by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, a celebrated practitioner of Unani System of Medicine. Hakeem Abdul Hameed, an illustrious son of an illustrious father (Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed) carried the legacy forward and now the University is scaling new heights.

  • In the year 1962, Hakeem Abdul Hameed established the Institute of History of Medicine and Medical Research. The objective was clear: promoting research and education in the annals of history of medicine.

  • In 1963, Hakeem Abdul Hameed and all his Muslim friends and various other associates established the Indian Institute of Islamic Studies so that the views of Islamic Culture and Civilization can be promoted for the welfare of the society.

  • In the same year (1963), the Hamdard Tibbi College was established in Gali Qasim Jaan, in the Old Delhi. However, it was transferred to Jamia Hamdard Campus in the year 1980 so that adequate education can be provided to the students related to Unani Medicine. The aim was very decent and clear, carrying forward the hailing legacy of the Unani Medicine.

  • In the year 1972, the Hamdard College of Pharmacy was established with a view to provide training and education in all the aspects of pharmacy.

  • The dream came true in the year 1989 when the University had been given the status and power of being a ‘Deemed University’ by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on the 10th of May, 1989

Infrastructure

There are many facilities that have been provided in this University. Some of them are as follows:

Central Instrumentation Facility –The Central Instrument Facility was set up in July in the year 1990 with the installation of:

  • Perkin-Elmer HPLC

  • Mettler electronic balance

  • L7 Backman Ultra-centrifuge

  • Sorval Rt-6000 Low speed centrifuge

  • Perkin-Elmer 8700 Gas Chromatograph

  • DU-64 Backman UV-VIS Spectrometer.

Placement Information

Training and Placement Cell counsels and guides the students in their training and placement. This Cell keeps a close interaction with industry and identifies the potential employers and their contemporary needs. It organizes Industry- Institute-interaction through pre-placement talks, seminars, lectures and discussions. The Cell also arranges on-the-job training of students by organizing campus placements. The Placement Cell in the University also arranges various soft skill and personality development
