Eligibility Criteria for Admission to B.Tech and M.Tech at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women

  • For admission to Bachelor of Technology, the candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination, having scored at least 50% taken from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • For admission to Master of Technology, the candidate must have completed graduation in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or equivalent examination, having scored at least 55% aggregate marks.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to BCA and MCA

  • Candidates who seek admission to BCA must have completed the 10+2 or equivalent examination securing at least 45% aggregate marks, with at least 50% in Mathematics/Computer Science.
  • Those seeking admission to MCA must have completed BCA or BSc in either one of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics etc.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture)

  • Candidate must have passed Standard XII/10+2 pattern or its equivalent Examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Business Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum aggregate score of 50% marks for all subjects, 45% for SC/ST/SEBC category from a recognised education Board - CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/ISB/IB.

OR

  • Candidate must have passed Diploma 10+3 pattern of any stream with 50% aggregate marks from a Technical Examination Board of any state or from a university established under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956

  • Additionally the student has to score at least 40% marks (minimum 80 out of 200) in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) to be eligible for admission.

 

Cutoff and Entry Requirements for Admissions at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women

  • The above eligibility criteria are taken into serious consideration for admissions.
  • Interested candidates must ensure to satisfy all the entry requirements before submitting their applications for the relevant courses.
  • Candidates who have secured the highest marks will be called for the initial rounds of admission counselling and will be given the first preference of seats and the core branch of their choice.
  • Candidates will be granted seats on the basis of merit from their 10+2 as well as relevant entrance examination marks.
  • Admissions for Science and Humanities courses will be done on first come first serve basis, as long as students satisfy the required eligibility criteria.
  • Any students who are found not to fall in the eligibility criteria or have falsified information while applying for IGDTUW will be disqualified from the selection process and therefore will not gain admission to the respective courses.

Hostel and Mess at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women

  • The university campus has undergraduate and postgraduate hostels for girls, with rooms given on first come first serve basis.
  • The hostel fee is around Rs. 30,000 per year with a refundable security deposit of Rs. 3,000, rooms are given on double and triple sharing basis.
  • Every student in the hostel is given her own bed, desk and built-in cupboards.
  • Purified drinking water is available on all the floors of the hostel.
  • The University campus has 100% power back-up facilities and there is hot water available at any time.
  • 24-hour security is deployed on major spots of the campus and around the hostels.
  • The mess serves hygienic, freshly prepared food every day for students and faculty at approximately Rs. 40-50 per meal.
  • Special food is prepared on Diwali, Holi and other festive occasions. There is a rotational menu so that the food is not repetitive.
  • Students can make use of common spaces provided for socialising and recreation. Furniture, television and pantry space are provided. There is fast Wifi on campus 24*7.
