Assam Suhrid MLA scholarship is a scholarship scheme in which local members of the Legislative Assembly give financial support to those students who have scored well in their recent board examinations. The government aims to support deserving applicants with the required financials and encourages them to aim higher. Candidates who qualify for the scholarship program will get a scholarship amount of INR 20,000. Suhrid MLA Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Suhrid MLA scholarship 2023 are very simple and precise. The interested applicant can go through the below Suhrid MLA scholarship eligibility criteria.

• Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam.
• Applicants must secure admission in any higher-level education courses to apply for the Suhrid MLA scholarship.
• Candidates with poor financial conditions in their families can benefit from the Suhrid MLA  scholarship.
• Students must pass their class 10th from a recognized board.
• Applicants must not be from MLA’s family or their relatives, any Govt. employee, or dependents.

Suhrid MLA Scholarship Rewards

Selected candidates are given upto INR 20,000 as the Suhrid MLA scholarship amount. Students can get upto INR 10,000 under this scheme if the candidate is pursuing any higher/ technical and vocational studies. In certain exceptional cases, the limit can increase upto INR 20,000. Only one beneficiary from a particular family can get this scholarship in a year. Funds are directly transferred to the beneficiary account by RTGS under Direct Benefit Transfer. These are one-time scholarships only; the same applicant can’t apply for the Suhrid MLA scholarship in subsequent years. The names of the selected beneficiaries are uploaded to the District Website every month by the concerned DC.
