SOF ICO Exam 2023

Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is primarily an educational organization that promotes academic competition and helps in instilling a competitive spirit in school children. SOF International Commerce Olympiad (ICO) exam is conducted in partnership with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, which is a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

SOF was started by prominent academicians, scientists, and media personalities to promote subjects like Science, Mathematics, English, Computer Education, General Knowledge, and Professional Courses.

SOF ICO Exam Dates Highlights

Important dates to be known before applying for SOF International Commerce Olympiad Exam is given below.

SOF ICO Exam

The International Commerce Olympiad exam initiated by the SOF foundation makes learning exciting and interactive, wherein you can put your skills, memory, talent, and knowledge to the test.

• Students of classes 11 and 12 are eligible to apply for the International Commerce Olympiad.
• ICO is the single-level SOF Olympiad.
• Students from any stream can apply for the ICO.
• ICO was introduced in 2016 by the Science Olympiad Foundation.
• Student Performance Report (SPR) will be provided to every participant to help them analyze their performance in the exam.
• The SOF is organizing ICO in partnership with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
• Every year ICO has been spending crores of money for awards, scholarships, gifts & felicitations, etc.
• In 2019-20, SOF had spent nearly INR 18 crores for awards.

International Commerce Olympiad Eligibility

Students should satisfy the below eligibility criteria to apply for SOF ICO.

SOF ICO Registration

SOF Foundation usually conducts its ICO exam in December every year. The students appearing for the NCO exam need to register themselves through school. The ICO for the academic session 2023-24 will be conducted soon. The registration deadline is 15 days before the respective exam date.

The prospectus that includes the ICO registration forms will be sent to all registered schools within the scheduled time

• Schools that are not registered with the Science Olympiad Foundation can request a prospectus by sending a request email.
• The respective schools need to return the registration forms to SOF in the stipulated time.
• The coordinating teacher of the school will generate a student's roll number.
• A copy of these roll numbers is clubbed with the Student Registration Sheet (SRS) and School Registration Form (SRF), which will be sent to the Foundation's office after they are filled in and completed by the due date.
• The question papers and guidelines for conducting the examination will also be dispatched.
• As per the guidelines, any school can register as a centre for SOF ICO, and there is no fee required from the institution to become a registered examination centre.
• However, there needs to be a registration of a minimum of 5 students for SOF ICO from each school for feasibility reasons.
• Students can register only through their schools.

For registration, there is a charge of INR 125 (USD 9 per student for international schools), including 18% GST, for the examination. The amount is payable if you belong to a school in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, or Bhutan. Students eligible for fee exemption are those who are suffering from any major physical disabilities or if their parent was martyred during defence operations.

International Commerce Olympiad Admit Card

Additionally, the school can also collect an amount up to INR 25 (US1 per student for international schools) for the honorarium of the in-charge, remuneration given to teachers, study material supplied by the SOF, and other miscellaneous expenses. The Science Olympiad Foundation will release the ICO registration form on the official website. After successful registration, SOF will upload the International Commerce Olympiad admit card on its official site.

International Commerce Olympiad Syllabus

Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is a non-profit organization that promotes academic competition across seas by assessing students' skills, memory, talent, and knowledge.

The ICO syllabus will be based on the concepts of Economics, Business Studies, and Accountancy. Students have to possess a good command over these subjects to crack this examination and come off with flying colours.

SOF ICO Result
