Humming Bird Commerce Competency (HCC) Exam is an international level Olympiad exam conducted every year, especially for Higher secondary Commerce students. It is conducted by Humming Bird Education Pvt. Ltd., and the subjects covered in HCC are Business Studies, Economics & Accounts.

What is Humming Bird Commerce Competency (HCC) Exam?

Humming Bird Commerce Competency is the full form of HCC. It is an International level commerce exam conducted by Humming Bird Education Pvt. Ltd., which aims to motivate the students to understand the in-depth knowledge of the subject and enhance their factual, conceptual, reasoning, logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in commerce.

HCC olympiad exam is meant for the students of Higher Secondary Classes who have Business Studies, Economics & Accounts as their subjects.

Qualification criteria for the level 2 exam are as follows.

  • 75% or above in the level one examination.
  • Top ten class-wise in the state.
  • First and second in the class in a particular school if at least ten students have attended the school.

The registration cost for Humming Bird Commerce Competency Olympiad is INR 200 (8 USD).

HCC 2024 Eligibility

The HCC exam is conducted between all states for stage 1, and the students who qualify in the stage 1 exam are eligible to take the stage 2 HCC exam.

The eligibility criteria for HCC Olympiad 2024 are given below.

  • A participant must be a student of either class 11 or class 12.
  • The participant must be studying in ICSE/CBSE/Any State Board or any other recognized Board established by law in India.

HCC 2024 Application Form

The application form is divided into 3 parts. Students should first get the parent consent form signed by their parents and submit it to the school coordinator along with the appropriate amount.

The school has to register itself using the school registration form (first part of the registration booklet) and then fill in the names of the interested students in the student registration form (the second part of the registration booklet).

The coordinator should attach the parent consent form to the registration booklet and then send it via post (offline) or email (online) to Humming Education (P) Ltd.

Payment for HCC registration can be done online or sent in the form of a cheque/demand draft via post.

HCC Exam Fees: The Examination Fee for Humming Bird Commerce Competency Olympiad is Rs. 200 for each student.

HCC 2024 Exam Dates

Humming Bird Commerce Competency exam is conducted on two different dates where participating schools can choose their date of exam. HCC consists of multiple-choice questions in which the students have to choose the correct option out of four choices. There is no negative marking for wrong answers or for leaving a question unanswered.

There are 40 subject-based questions and 20 intelligence-based questions designed to test the student's higher-order thinking skills with a total time of 60 mins.

The Humming Bird Olympiad aims to identify the core knowledge in the field of commerce. The exams are conducted under two levels, and details are listed below.

Level 1 Exam

Humming Bird Education Ltd. conducts exams HCC on two different dates for school registration and three different dates for individual registration. The revised exam dates for school registration and the exam dates for the upcoming HCC will be notified soon on the website.

Level 2 Exam

The HCC level 2 exam supposed to be conducted in the month of february 2024 for students who qualified for the HCC level 1 exam. The list containing the names of the students who qualified for the level 2 exam has been sent to the school and can also be checked on this page.

Results for the level 2 exam will be declared in March or April 2024.

HCC 2024 Exam Pattern

Humming Bird Commerce Competency Olympiad (HCC) is designed for classes XI, and XII students across CBSE/ICSE/State Board or any other recognized Board in India. Students have to follow their relevant class syllabus to prepare for the exam. Questions in the exams will be asked based on commerce, especially in accountancy, economics, and business studies.

Pattern: The Examination is based on a Multiple Choice Question Pattern which helps the Children to be more precise & careful while attempting the Questions of the Olympiad.

Questions & Time: The question paper consists of 60 questions, and the duration of the examination is 60 minutes.

Mode of Exam: The mode of exam is offline and online (notified soon on the website). If offline, the center of examination is the school itself.

HCC 2024 Syllabus

The syllabus helps students by bringing them face-to-face with the topics on which questions will be asked in the exam and help them prepare themselves for the Humming Bird Commerce Competency examination and other related Humming Bird Olympiad exams mentioned above.

The HCC 2024 syllabus can be found in the free book and app given to students after registration. The mobile applications contain a large number of free audio and video tutorials that students can utilize.

HCC 2024 Admit Card

HCC admit card can be downloaded from the official website. Students can log in to Humming Education's student profile using their registration number as the username and password.

Students will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without a hall ticket. Students are requested to print a hard copy of the admit card after downloading it from the Humming Education portal.

HCC 2024 Results

The HCC result is available on the official website of HummingBird. Results will also be sent to the respective schools by email and as hard copies. Students can inquire about their School Coordinator about the result.

The result will not be displayed if the student has filled an incorrect registration number in the OMR sheet. Such students may contact the school authorities for their results. Candidates will also receive a participation/rank holder certificate and a Student's Performance Report (SPR) along with the HCC 2024 result.
