- Any candidate who has a Master’s degree with at least 55 percentile from any recognized institution is eligible to apply for the WBSET exam.
- Candidates can only apply for their master's degree subject, and they can choose their topic when taking the West Bengal State Eligibility Test.
- The SC/ST/OBC/Transgender category will be considered eligible if they have a 50% PG score.
- Candidates who are awaiting the results of their post-graduation exams are also eligible for the WB SET exam 2023.
