Tripura Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Teacher Recruitment Board of Tripura. About Tripura TET
The Government of Tripura has instituted a body called Teacher Recruitment Board of Tripura (TRBT) to conduct the Tripura Teachers Eligibility Test so that skilled individuals can be recruited as teachers at different levels of an institute. This exam is held to make sure that the teachers who impart knowledge to students have the ability to do so with finesse and empathy.
This exam has two papers. Paper 1 is for individuals wanting to teach Standard 1 to 5 (Primary Level) and Paper 2 is for individuals wanting to teach standards 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Level). This exam is a 1 hour 30 mins exam in which the questions are MCQ based. This is a state-level exam wherein the qualifying candidates will be allowed to teach in the state on Tripura in any government or private school. The candidates who qualify the Tripura TET will be awarded a certificate of eligibility to apply for the teaching jobs. As per the NCTE Norms, it is mandatory for the candidates to have a TET certificate issued by TRB to apply for any teaching jobs in Tripura. The TET Certificate will have validation of seven years from the date of result. The candidates who want to apply for the Upper Primary & Lower Primary Level can also appear for the Tripura TET 2023 based on their eligibility criteria. Candidates must remember that passing the Tripura TET does not guarantee a job. However, candidates will get a call regarding recruitment or interview based on their performance in the test or as per the available vacancies in different schools.

Tripura TET 2023 Eligibility
The individuals who wish to become teachers and write the Tripura-TET 2023 exam conducted by the Teacher Recruitment Board of Tripura must go through the eligibility criteria thoroughly before filling the application form. It is essential that a person has met the Tripura TET eligibility criteria because only then will the results hold good.
Tripura TET eligibility criteria are different for each of the papers. These eligibility criteria are set to make sure that the individuals have enough knowledge and capabilities to teach. The paper-wise eligibility criteria are given below.
Paper 1 for persons teaching class 1 to 5:
Candidates must possess the following prescribed qualifications:
- Candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in Senior secondary or any degree equivalent to it along with a 2-year Diploma in Upper Primary Education (or 1-year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-05).
OR
- Candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in Senior Secondary or any degree equivalent to it along with a 2-year Diploma in Upper Primary Education in accordance with NCTE Regulations, 2002 (or 1-year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-2005).
OR
- Candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in Senior Secondary or any degree equivalent to it along with a 4 years Bachelor of Upper Primary education (B.El.Ed).
OR
- Candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in Senior Secondary or any degree equivalent to it along with 2 years Diploma in Education (Special education)
OR
- Candidate must be a Graduate along with 2 years Diploma in Upper Primary Education (or 1-year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-2005).
OR
- Candidate must be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) furthermore, a candidate having a B.Ed from any NCTE recognized institute with 50% marks or more in graduation shall be appointed as a teacher for the Primary level that is standard 1 to 5 only if the teacher mandatorily undergoes 6 months of Bridge course in Upper Primary Education recognized by NCTE within 2 years of such appointment as a Primary Teacher.
OR
- Candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in Senior Secondary or any degree equivalent to it (1-year relaxation as per MHRD notification, 4-1-2019).
OR
- Graduation (1-year relaxation as per MHRD notification, 4-1-2019).
Paper 2 for persons teaching standard 6 to 8
Candidates must possess the following prescribed criteria:
- Candidate must be a Graduate along with 2 years Diploma in Upper Primary Education (or 1-year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-2005).

- Candidate must be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

- Candidate must be a graduate with a minimum of 45% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE Regulations issued from time to time.

- Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in Senior Secondary or any degree equivalent to it along with a 4 years Bachelor of Upper Primary education (B.El.Ed)

Note:
- Candidates who are in their final year of Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) can provisionally apply for Papers 1 and 2.
- Candidates who have applied provisionally must complete the degree in the current academic year itself with the minimum qualifying marks required and produce such degree certificate or mark sheet in Degree in Education or Diploma in Upper Primary Education. If the candidate fails to produce such documents the certificate shall not be issued and the candidature shall be cancelled.

Tripura TET 2023 Registration is the first step towards the exam. If a candidate fails to fill up the Tripura TET 2023 registration form and pay the registration fee the candidate shall not be allowed to give the exam. On filling the registration form a candidate gets the admit card. To register a candidate must log in to the official website and fill in all the details that are required and a photo and signature must be scanned and uploaded. The steps to register are as follows:
- Step 1: The candidate must have a unique valid email address and phone number that can be used for registering themselves on the official portal. After registering candidate must log in using the Registration number or Email id as user name and password, whichever is set by the candidate.
- Step 2: After logging in the candidate must fill all the details under the Edit Profile Form otherwise the candidate would not be able to fill the TRBT Application Form. The candidate requires a passport size photo in JPEG or JPE format of 100kb size file and 3.5cm x 4.5cm dimension and also a copy of signature in JPEG or JPG format of 60kb file size and 3.5cm x 1.5cm dimension.
- In the case of the photograph, the picture must show 50% of the face and with a white background. For the signature, it must be in blue ink and with a white background.
- Step 3: Fill the Tripura TET 2023 application form, such as Qualification details and other details that would be asked.
- Step 4: The candidate must finalize the application to proceed to the payment section. Once finalized the details cannot be changed later. So the candidate must fill the application form with due care.
- Step 5: Candidate must make a payment towards registration through Credit/Debit card, Net banking through the payment gateway. Once the amount has been paid there are no refunds.
- Step 6: Candidate must Print the application form and Acknowledgement receipt for record-keeping purposes.

SC/ST/Physically Disabled: The candidate must pay INR 200/- towards the application form.

Tripura TET 2023 exam paper pattern is set by the Teacher Recruitment Board of Tripura.
