NIMCET counselling 2025 registration started from June 30, 2025, on the official portal. If you have qualified the NIMCET exam 2025, you can fill the form and complete the registration for the same. The NIMCET counselling process 2025 comprises registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and payment of a fee. The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) conducts three rounds in the NIMCET counselling procedure.

NIMCET Counselling 2025: Direct Link

NIMCET counselling 2025 registration is likely to begin from June 26, 2025. The counselling process will be conducted online via the official website @nimcet.admissions.nic.in.

Steps in NIMCET 2025 Counselling Process

The breakdown of the steps involved in the NIMCET counselling process is given below. NIMCET counselling steps include Registration, Choice filling, Fee Payment, and Reporting.

You must make note of the various NIMCET colleges participating in the exam, which are also provided below:

Step 1: Registration and Choice Filling

You must log in to the exam portal of the official website using your credentials provided during the time of application to complete NIMCET 2025 counselling registration. If you are shortlisted, you will be given the choice to enter their preferred college for MCA programs as they have secured the qualifying score in the examination. You will not have the option of changing or altering their choices as they will be locked after the last date of NIMCET 2025 choice filling.

Step 2: Seat Allotment through NIMCET 2025 Counselling

You will now be allotted seats on the basis of their choices and results secured in the examination. NIMCET Seat allotment is done in three rounds as mentioned in the dates table. If you are satisfied with the allotted choice, you must report to the admissions council of the particular college on the date given on their NIMCET Seat Allotment Letter. An admission fee must be paid for the same. This is to be done offline. Follow the steps below to download the seat allotment letter from the official website.

• Step 1: Students must visit the official website of NIMCET 2025, and click on the Seat Allotment Letter link.
• Step 2: You must log in to the portal using NIMCET registration credentials.
• Step 3: NIMCET 2025 Seat Allotment Letter will be displayed on the screen.
• Step 4: Download the letter for future reference.

Note: If you wish to participate in further rounds of NIMCET spot counselling must surrender their seats by reporting to the assigned centres. A seat surrender application letter must be submitted by you to the centres.

Step 3: NIMCET 2025 Fee Payment

You need to pay INR 10,000 as an initial fee through the NIMCET 2025 website and either of the above-mentioned options mandatorily then only their documents will be verified in the subsequent round of online document verification.

Step 4: Remote Reporting for NIMCET 2025 Admissions

Remote Reporting Centre refers to the NIT institution which provides admission to you in the MCA course. All 13 NITs are participating in the NIMCET 2025 counselling process. The reporting must be done within the stipulated time. NIMCET seat matrix offered by each NIT is mentioned in the table below.

NIMCET counselling 2025 registration will tentatively start from the first week of July 2025. You will be called for NIMCET 2025 counselling based on the marks obtained in the exam. NIMCET 2025 Counselling Process Details

You will be provided admission on the basis of their preferences cum merit list. You have to report to the designated centres along with the required documents. Firstly, you must register themselves to avail of the services of the counselling sessions. The steps below are to be followed:

• Step 1: You should log in to the link using their login ID and password. This can be done from any place according to your preferences.
• Step 2: Students should fill in their preferences before the deadline. This can be done only through the online mode.
• Step 3: Seats will be allotted to you based on their preferences and rank.
• Step 4: The choices once locked cannot be accessed or changed.

NIMCET Counselling 2025 Options

If you have met NIMCET counselling criteria are eligible to follow either of the two options provided below by the admissions council of NIMCET 2025. The two options that will be provided to you after seat allotment are discussed below:

• Option 1: You  can finalise the institution in which they want to join.
• Option 2: They can opt for other institutions in the second round of counselling.

After the choice filling is done by you, they will be assigned a seat based on their NIMCET 2025 rank and choices filled. After which, you have an option of accepting the seat allotted to them or waiting for the results of the next round of counselling.

A provisional admission letter will be provided to those who accept the seat allotted to them. Whereas, an up-gradation letter will be provided to those who are selecting the second option and will have to wait till the result of the next counselling round is declared.

Documents Required for NIMCET 2025 Counselling Process

For the process of verification before admission, you are required to produce the following supporting documents at the reporting centre for NIMCET 2025 counselling. The procedure will continue only when you carry all the original documents to the place of counselling. The documents to be carried for the counselling process are given below.

• Class X mark sheet
• Class XII mark sheet
• Mark sheet of a Bachelor's degree
• Category certificate (If applicable)
• Medical Certificates/ PwD certificate
• Your valid ID proof 
• 5-6 colored photographs
• NIMCET 2025 Result Sheet
• NIMCET 2025 Admit Card

• You andidates will be assigned seats based on their completed choices and rank.
• The NIMCET 2025 seat allotment will take place in four phases.
• Applicants must report to the assigned institution within a certain time frame if they are assigned a seat based on their preferences.
• During counselling verification, you must bring their original documents/certificates to the designated institutions.
• You must access the official website to obtain their NIMCET seat allotment letter.

Seats are Surrendered

If you do not wish to continue with the assigned institution and wish to participate in a subsequent round of NIMCET counselling, you must resign from your previous seat by completing a prescribed application.

• Graduation Marksheet
• Birth Certificate
• 10th Class Certificate
• NIMCET Rank Card/ Score Card
• Reserved Category Certificate (required exclusively for you from the Reserved Category)
  PwD Certificate (only required for PwD candidates)

NIMCET 2025 Participating Institutions

Every year, more than 25,000 candidates apply for NIMCET, out of which 4800 are shortlisted for the counselling session. The seat matrix is subject to change. The state-wise quota is not allotted separately. The seats are allotted based on the rules stated by the Government of India.
