Kerala State Eligibility Test (Kerala SET) is conducted by the Government of Kerala. Kerala SET is a test to recruit good teachers to ensure the high standards of teaching in Higher Secondary courses.
A pass certificate in State Eligibility Test (SET) is a mandatory requirement for appointment as Higher Secondary School Teachers in the State as per the Special Rules in force.
Students who aspire to have a career in the education/teaching field can apply for Kerala SET 2023. To appear in KSET 2023 examination, candidates should have done a Master’s degree program together with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
The government of Kerala is the governing authority. Kerala SET 2023 is a State Level Examination. Kerala SET is conducted twice a year. The exam will be conducted in two stages of individual papers i.e Paper I - General Knowledge and Aptitude and Paper II - Specialized Subjects.

Age Criteria: There is no age Limit prescribed for the candidate appearing for Kerala SET exam.
Educational Criteria: To attempt Kerala SET 2023, candidates should hold a Master’s degree in a specific subject with not less than 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade. Also, the candidates should have a B.Ed degree in any discipline from any recognized university in Kerala or possess these qualifications from any other recognized university.

Kerala SET 2023 Application Form
Kerala SET 2023 online application form for January 2023 session was released on the official website on Oct 1, 2022. Candidates who satisfied the eligibility requirements could register and apply to appear for the exam. The online registration process ended on Oct 31, 2022, at 5 PM. Kerala SET exam 2023 application form correction window was open on the official website from Nov 4 - 6, 2022.
In the application form, candidates must upload their photograph which should be 200 pixels in height and 150 pixels in width. The image should be in JPG format and should not exceed 30 KB in size. The conducting authority will set the registration fee for the examination. The registration fee can be paid via online mode only. Candidates have the option to pay using Net Banking, Debit Card, and Credit Card.

Step1: Registration of Mobile Phone
This is the first step of Kerala SET exam 2023 registration. Enter a valid mobile phone number to start this process. Shortly after registering, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number.
Step2: Filling SET Kerala 2023 Application Form
Fill out the personal and academic details asked in the online form and submit them. A registered ID will be displayed on the screen after the successful submission of the form. Keep this ID safe for future references.
Step 3: Uploading Photograph
Select a JPEG format photograph of the height of 200 pixels and a width of 150 pixels. The maximum file size should be 30 KB.
Step 4: Online Payment of Kerala SET Exam 2023 Registration Fee
Make the payment of the application fee online using Credit/debit card/Net banking or any other modes. The application fee will not be refunded in any case.
Step 5: Printing the Kerala SET 2023 Application
It is only after filling the application form completely that the candidates will be able to take the print-out of the application form. Candidates will be able to take the printout of the filled application only after performing the above steps successfully. An address slip will also be printed along with the application form. This address slip must be pasted on the envelope by the candidate for the purpose of sending the application. The application form to be sent by the candidate must be duly signed by the candidate after printing.
There is no provision for editing the application after submission. Hence, the candidates are advised to verify their information first (especially the District opted for the test centre, appearing subject for the test and the reservation category) before submission.

Kerala SET 2023 Exam Pattern
Kerala SET Exam 2023 is divided into 2 papers. Each paper is of 2 hours duration. Both the papers have Multiple Choice Type (MCQ) questions. Paper-I has got 2 parts: Part-A and Part-B. Part A has questions based on General Knowledge and Part B consists of questions on Teaching aptitude.
Paper-II has questions from 35 subjects based on the candidates' specialization. All the questions carry 1 mark each. But for Mathematics and Statistics subjects, each question carries 1.5 marks each. There is no negative marking in any papers.
