DAVV DET 2024: Important Dates, Admission Date (Oct 31)

DAVV DET 2024 exam took place on Oct 10, 2024, for 44 specialisations. Earlier, conducting authorities released the notification on Sep 8, 2024. Per, the notification the DAVV DET application 2024 is ongoing for the DAVV DET PhD entrance exam 2024. 

The registration process is open for admission to PhD programmes in Arts, English, Hindi, Social Science, Botany etc. Interested candidates must note, that applications will be accepted only of candidates with a PG or MPhil degree.

DAVV DET Application Process 2024

DAVV DET application form 2024 was released on the official website, and the last date to enrol is yet to be announced. However, tentatively, per previous year trends, the DET application form 2024 window will close in Oct, 2024. The DAVV PhD entrance exam 2024 notification was released on Sep 8, 2024. Candidates can check the steps below to complete their application process. 

• Step 1: Students need to visit the DAVV MPonline website.
• Step 2: Students need to select the link - 'APPLY FOR ADMISSION IN PhD'.
• Step 3: Candidates have to fill in the details required.
• Step 4: Candidates should submit the necessary documents required.
• Step 5: Candidates will have to pay the registration fee of INR 1000 (for all candidates) while filling out the DAVV PhD entrance exam form 2024. In addition to the application fee, Rs. 50/- will also be charged as Online Service Charges. The Application Fee can be paid through both online and offline modes. Online mode through MPOnline authorized KIOSK in MP or through any ATM cum Debit Card/ Credit Card or Net Banking from anywhere.
• Step 6: The application will be confirmed after the fee payment.
• Step 7: Candidates can download the receipt for further processing.
• Step 8: All eligible candidates will be confirmed for the examination.

About DAVV DET 2024

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Doctoral Entrance Test (DAVV DET) is a university-level entrance test conducted by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya for admission into the doctoral programme offered by the university.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, previously known as Indore University is a State University of Madhya Pradesh, established in 1964 in Indore. Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya was ranked in the 151–200 band among universities by the 2018 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

DET DAVV is the university-level Entrance Test for doctoral programmes, conducted once a year. From 2018, DAVV has separated the M.Phil. Entrance Exam from DET exam. Thus, now DAVV Doctoral Entrance Test is only for seeking admission to Doctor of Philosophy and not for both M.Phil. and Ph.D.

DAVV DET Eligibility Criteria 2024

The candidate's application might be rejected at any time during the process of admission if the candidate is found to be ineligible for the examination. Before appearing for any exam, candidates need to be well versed in eligibility criteria scenarios such that any important events related to eligibility criteria should not be missed out in any circumstances. Applicants must go through the DAVV DET Eligibility Criteria 2024 Criteria before filling out the application form.

• Education: A candidate for the degree of PhD must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned or allied subject with at least 55% Marks [50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Differently-Abled] from a deemed university or other university incorporated by the law and recognized by the University.
• Final Year Students: The candidates appearing in the final semester/year examination may also apply but they have to submit their final result as per the above-mentioned percentage before submission of the application for registration for Ph.D.
• Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for DAVV DET 2024
• Domicile: To apply for a course under the Domicile quota, you should submit the Madhya Pradesh state Domicile Certificate along with the relevant category certificate from a competent authority.
• You should note that the seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC category will only be offered to the SC/ST/OBC candidates of the Madhya Pradesh domicile. SC/ ST/OBC/other reserved categories candidates from other states will be treated as the unreserved category.

DAVV DET Syllabus 2024

Candidates can opt for a Ph.D. in 43 subjects at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV).

They will be permitted to work for a PhD degree in the subject in which they have obtained their Master’s degree. However, research work leading to a Ph.D. degree in an allied subject of interdisciplinary nature of the same faculty or of allied faculties may be allowed. In such instances, candidates will be permitted to work under one or two co-supervisors along with the supervisor.

DAVV DET Admit Card 2024

DAVV DET Admit Card 2024 will be released on the official website for the candidates who submit their application forms on time. DAVV will also release the list of eligible students with the roll number, test centre, and other details in the list.

DAVV DET Answer Key 2024

DAVV DET 2024 model answer key will be released by DAVV Indore on the official website soon after the exam. The candidate who appears in the exam can challenge the model answer key by paying INR 500 for each answer till the stipulated date. Candidates who oppose the model answer keys must prove the argument by submitting supporting documents. 

How to Challenge DAVV DET Model Keys?

Candidates who are not satisfied with the DAVV CET evaluation may request a re-evaluation by following the below steps:

• Submit an application request to the Chairperson-CET.
• Candidates must pay Rs. 500 for each answer key challenge.
• The NTA will check it before releasing the final answer key and the DAVV CET 2024 result.
• However, if the candidate's objection is valid, the fee will be returned.
• If the expressed complaint is deemed to be incorrect, no refund will be issued.

DAVV DET Results 2024

DAVV DET 2024 final results will be declared on the official website, based on qualified marks.

Cut Off: There is no specific cut off for DAVV DET 2024, but the candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in the exam to qualify for the interview.

DAVV DET Counselling 2024

Candidates who qualify for the DAVV DET 2024 will be called for the next round of the selection process - an interview after the results are announced. The date of the interview will be released on the official website along with the qualified students' names and roll numbers.

Interview Methodology: The interview for DAVV PhD admission 2024 will be conducted by the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the concerned subject. At the interview, candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a RAC.

The evaluation in the DAVV DET 2024 interview will be based on 100 marks and it is given on the following criteria, each of 25 marks:

• Research plan,
• Research potential/ aptitude,
• Communication skills,
• Subject knowledge in the respective area of research.

Documents: The documents which are compulsory to be carried to DAVV DET Counselling 2024 are as follows:

• No Objection Letter from the proposed Supervisor and Co-supervisor (if applicable) duly forwarded from the Head of the research centre/centres.
• The original Mark sheet and its self-attested copy of the Class 10,12, Graduation, and Postgraduation.
• Original and self-attested SC/ ST/ OBC /MP domicile certificate copy.

RAC shall decide the cut off marks in the interview. Based on the marks obtained out of 100 marks in the interview and the decided cut off marks, PhD merit list will be prepared and will be released on the official website.
