Bihar TET 2022 eligibility criteria is set by the conducting body of the exam. Bihar TET 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Educational Qualification
The eligibility criteria required to appear for Bihar TET 2022 are as follows.
For Paper-1 (Teachers for I to V classes)
- Candidates must pass class 10 with an aggregate of 45% or equivalent.
- Candidates who have qualified for a bachelor's degree (B.Sc/B.A.) with an aggregate of 50% marks and B.ED qualified candidates are eligible for the Teachers Eligibility Test.
- Aspirants appearing in the Diploma in Education or Diploma in Special Elementary or Bachelor of Elementary Education are eligible for the TET exam.
For Paper-2 (Teachers for VI to VIII classes)
- Students who qualify bachelor's degree (B.Sc/B.A) and those who are appearing in the final year in B.Sc/ B.ED/ BA/ course with atleast 45% and passed/appeared in senior secondary/B. E.D. with the minimum 50% marks is eligible to apply.
- Candidates have four years bachelor's degree in elementary courses, with atleast 50% being eligible to write the TET exam willing to teach classes 6 to 8.
- Graduation with 50% and one-year D.EI.Ed.
- Final year appearing students of B.ED/2 year diploma in Education in Special Education/2 year diploma in Elementary Education are also eligible.
- 12th grade and year B.A.Ed or B.Sc Ed.
Bihar TET 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Education Qualification (Urdu and Sanskrit)
For Urdu, candidates should have the following degree from below mentioned Board or University:
- The candidates should have the following degree from Maulvi or Intermediate provided by the Bihar Madarsa Board.
- The candidates should have a minimum of 50 marks in Urdu subject at graduation level.
- Bihar Panchayat Primary Teachers (Planning and Conditions of Service) - 2012 and Bihar Town Preliminary Teachers (Planning and Conditions of Service) Rules - 2012 will be eligible for qualified teacher training qualifying candidates in rule 05.
For Sanskrit, candidates should have the following degree from below mentioned Board or University:
- Bachelor's degree in Sanskrit from a recognized board/university or a recognized board/university given by Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University.
- For Sanskrit teachers and Bihar Panchayat Primary Teachers (Planning and Service Condition) - 2012 and Bihar Town Primary Teachers (Planning & Planning) Teachers' Training Qualification Candidates Defined in Rule 05 of the Rules-2012 Will be eligible to join.
Bihar TET 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Age and Nationality

Note
- The Diploma/degree certificates in teacher education must be recognised by the Central or any State Government or recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) will only be valid.
- Candidates having a Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B. Ed. (Special education) will be valid only if the courses are recognised by the Indian Rehabilitation Council (RCI)
- Degree equivalent to technical education (polytechnics, Greek education etc.) and Oriental language special (Maulvi, Sub-Shastri) is not valid for general teacher posting.
