AIFSET 2022 Application Form

AIFSET registration has started on Feb 1, 2022 and the last date to apply is Jun 25, 2022. The application form for the AIFSET 2022 is available online only. Candidates will have to fill the application with all the relevant and valid information after making sure that they satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria for the examination. AIFSET 2022 Application Fee

Interested candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 2000 to be able to take up the examination. What is AIFSET?

The All India Forensic Science Entrance Test (AIFSET-2022) is a national level entrance test for candidates who wish to enrol into the forensic science courses in various participating universities. Candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in this field can apply to the course through this examination. The duration of the course is three years for the Bachelor program and two year for Masters Program.

About the Course

The Bachelor's of Science: Forensic Sciences course is a three-year undergraduate program for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in Forensic Science. The course mainly trains students to understand and analyze a criminal activity and/or a crime scene. Forensic Science is mostly a crime-scene based science, but graduates of forensic science are also consulted in civil cases such as proving the validity of a signature on a will or an important document. Professionals in forensic sciences are also consulted for any issue where the people involved could be cutting corners or performing illegal activities.

Forensic Science is broadly classified into three groups: Medical Science, Laboratory Science and Field Science.

  • Medical Data Science includes forensic pathology, psychiatry, psychology, forensic medicine and ontology.
  • Laboratory Sciences includes chemistry, biology, toxicology, ballistics, fingerprints, suspected documents, and marks & impressions.

B.Sc Forensic Science  

B.Sc forensic science is a three - year undergraduate program that offers the study of scientific applications and knowledge that helps in the investigation of crimes. M.Sc Forensic Science  

M.Sc Forensic Science is a two-year postgraduate degree divided into four semesters. The course deals with the study of crime investigations. AIFSET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

To appear for AIFSET 2022 that candidate must satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria. If the candidate is found to not satisfy the criteria, then his/her candidature can be cancelled at any time during the admission process.

B.Sc Forensic Science

The candidate must have a minimum educational qualification of higher secondary school (10 + 2) or any equivalent education with Physics, Chemistry,Biology and/or Mathematics as the main subjects with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The candidates who are due to appear in the (10 + 2) examination are also eligible to apply. The candidate can attempt AIFSET exam for a maximum of three times. 

M.Sc Forensic Science

The candidate must have completed their graduation in B.Sc forensic science or B.Sc in relevant subjects or stream from a recognised University with a minimum aggregate 50 percent. Those who are in the final semester of the Bachelor Programme are also eligible to apply. The candidates can attempt AIFSET exam for a maximum of three times.

Important Instructions for AIFSET 2022

The AIFSET 2022 exam will be conducted in online mode. Candidates will be given a time slot to appear for the exam that will be conducted on Jun 28, 2022. Candidates are requested to appear at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the examination. The test slots for the exam day will be informed later.
