College provides excellent campus placement. It gurantees 100% placement in many branches such as CSE, IT, ECE etc.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There are a total of 12 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. The mess fee is INR 15,000 per semester. The food is of above average quality. The quality of classrooms and labs is excellent. The infrastructure is great and Wi-Fi is available to all students with a limit of 3 GB per day.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
A student has to write JEE MAIN entrance exam. Cut-offs for ECE went up to 18,000 for General.
Academics and Faculty
Classes are conducted 8 am to 5:10 pm.
Fees and Scholarships
My course fee is 1.30 per semester. There are various scholarships schemes available to students who score above a certain GPA in the exams.
Clubs and Associations
There are various clubs on the campus such as ACM, IEEE, IET, Dhwani, Ehsaas, and Litsoc. Bitotsav is one of the biggest cultural fests in east India which is also celebrated on the campuses.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : BIT Mesra has 2 rounds of admission - The first one is through JOSAA where you get a particular branch according to the availability of seats and your preference. Once this step is completed, there is an option for internal sliding where you can change your branch if you wish so but this depends on the remaining vacant seats and your JEE Mains Rank. The second round is the SPOT round which is conducted by the college for the remaining seats. You can apply through the website and it takes place after 20-25 days of the end of the first round.
