Placements and Internships
- Hardwork is worth an appreciation and i really appreciate the amount of hardwork our placement coordinators are putting in to make the students future bright. This year for us, a total of 140 companies have come. Majority Of them are MNC's. Key companies include, Bajaj electricals, colgate-palmolive , exide batteries, naukri.com, vodafone, aditya birla group, KVB, ITC etc. Highest salary package in whole campus was INR 20 lakhs p.a and it was from Amazon. In our batch its BHARATHI AXA INSURANCE LIMITED , CTC INR 9 Lakhs p.a.
- Some Aluminis are currently working in google, microsoft , apple etc.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Infrastructure is perfectly fine. There are 6 hostels each for boys and girls and each hostel again comprices of 4 to 5 different blocks. Hostel fees per year varies from INR 50000 to 90000/- based on different type of seater the student opted for. Both A/C and non A/C were provided.
- There are numerous PG's available just outside the premises of LPU. Hostel mess wont be that good, but the canteens and food stalls available are many.
- There is one central library where each and every kind of book is available and each branch seperately includes one library. Wifi speed is okay.
Academics and Faculty
- As i have done my dual degree here, i would like to segregate my study in two different phases. The first phase , B.tech, A B.tech student in LPU is more or less the same as a student of 10th or +1,+2. I feel that there are many scrap courses in a B.Tech program, such as human biology, biotechnology, laboratory for human biology. Including these courses in their part of curriculum makes no sense except that they increase the students burden. Classes were not even flexible, in Winters they'll keep a class at 8 Am, where the temperature lies way below 5 degrees. Attendance criteria is the worse part, students are not allowed to sit in any of the exam if the attendance is less than 75%, they wont allow to sit even if the cases were genuine ( like an accident, death of a parent etc). Assignments were accaptable but the practical knowledge gained due to those assignments was zero percent. And finally, god knows how the hell the evaluation of exams is done. Sometimes, even if the answers written were exactly as it's given in reference books, they're not valid answers. Faculty and the quality of teaching could be far better than they actually are.Secondly, MBA, i can proudly tell that iam a management student from LPU. Every thing i had described earlier is contrast im this case. Academic courses were perfect, assignments help us to gain practical knowledge, live projects are also included in the part of curriculum. Examinations are held to check knowledge of students unlike in BTECH. Quality of teaching is excellent, as all the faculty are having a minimum experience of 5-7 years and had done Phd. Overall, one can learn very much during the span of 5 years, but i would personally suggest to pursue only MBA rather than B.tech+MBA
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee is INR 75000/- per semester.
- The scholarships can be available on the basis of LPUNEST exam or on AIEEE or on overall +2%. And any student having a good score in any of the above mentioned exams can attain the scholarship.
- Education loans are also easily provided as there are almost 8 branches of different kinds of banks are available inside university campus.
Clubs and Associations
- There are many student clubs available. A seperate block is there for all the student affairs. Youthvibes, one india, one world, sports meet are the major fests. In whole, one can enjoy pretty much if they can manage well in their academics. The exposure is good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria in Lovely Professional University for BTech is to score more than 60% in the 12th exam. You have to appear for LPUNEST exam and based on that score you will get admission. If you have scored more than 90% in 12th or more than 80 marks in JEE, you will get direct admission (ie no need to appear for LPUNEST)
