RTU DAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Rajasthan Technical University, Kota offers both full time and part-time Ph.D program. The eligibility criteria for full-time research scholar and part-time scholar varies.
Eligibility Criteria for Full-time Research Scholar
The applicants are considered eligible for admission to Ph.D program in the respective subject based on the qualifications in appropriate areas and the eligibility criteria prescribed below.
- Master's degree in the appropriate discipline of any recognized university/ institute or equivalent, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (of all the years/ semesters) where marks are awarded or minimum equivalent CGPA as defined by AICTE/UGC.
- Relaxation of 5% or equivalent grade point in the minimum eligibility shall apply to the applicant belonging to the categories of SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and Differently abled persons or categories decided by UGC.
- Candidates who have cleared the M. Phil Course work with at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and complete M.Phil. degree shall be eligible.
- A relaxation of 5% or equivalent grade point in the minimum eligibility shall be allowed to the applicant belonging to the categories of SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and Differently abled persons or categories decided by UGC.
Eligibility Criteria for Part-time Research Scholar
In addition to the Education Qualification of Full-time Research Scholar, the applicants will have to agree on the below-mentioned criteria as well.
- Permission of the employer in writing to the candidate to pursue the PhD programme along with your regular duties in the organization you are employed.
- Availability of all facilities for pursuing research at the candidate’s parent organization/ place of work in the chosen field of research.
- Certificate issued by the employer to allow them to fulfil the residency requirement during course work and contact days with the supervisor after completing the course work as notified by the university from time to time.

- Register yourself by entering registration details like Name, Date of Birth, Mobile No, Mother Name, Father Name etc.
- A Challan No will be generated for the further application process.
After Registering next, you will have to make the registration fee payment
