APSET Hall Ticket 2024
APSET 2024 admit card will be released on Apr 19, 2024. The official hall ticket will be released on the official website. The admit card is the most important document and must be carried along with the applicants to the examination hall. Candidates are notified by SMS when the hall ticket is released.
Candidates must download the admit card by logging into the portal through the official website and clicking the “Download Admit Card” sign. A hall ticket is the key to entering the exam hall. If a candidate fails to carry it, she/he will not be allowed to write the exam. Candidates must check if all the data is mentioned correctly on the admit card before carrying it along with them to the examination hall.
Candidates are also advised to carry a government ID proof for verification purposes.

APSET Application Form
The Andhra University, Vishakapatnam has been given the responsibility on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh to conduct a State level exam for the recruitment of Assistant Professors and Lecturers in the universities and colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates interested in becoming Assistant Professor or Lecturer must fill out the application form to appear for this exam.
Applicants must have a valid Email Address and Phone Number which must be used for registration purposes and any future communication from the university's side will be made through the email ID and phone number.
- Step 1: Candidates must click on “Register” on the dashboard on the official Website and fill in the required details about Name, Number, Email Address. After submitting they will receive an SMS and an Email containing the Registration Number and Password
- Step 2: Use the registration Number and Password to log in and fill out the application form and upload the documents what so ever required.
- Step 3: Candidates must Upload a passport-sized Photograph and Signature and Submit the Registration Form.
- Step 4: Candidates must pay the application fee for the submission to be successful.
On payment of the application fee candidate must download the application form and receipt for future reference.

About APSET Exam
The University Grants Commission, New Delhi has granted Andhra University, Vishakapatnam permission to conduct three, state eligibility test examinations over the next three years starting from 2019 onwards, which means they will be conducted once a year for 3 years on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
These exams will be conducted for recruiting Assistant Professors or Lecturers through direct recruitment or promotion in Universities and Degree Colleges in Andhra Pradesh state. This is done because there is a growing demand for Assistant Professors and Lecturers in Universities and Colleges.

APSET Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility criteria of APSET 2024 are one of the most essential features a candidate must go through before filling out the application form. Eligibility criteria are set to make sure that candidates have enough prior knowledge and skills to be an Assistant Professor or Lecturer and fulfill the expectations of the students. These criteria are set by the Andhra University, Vishakapatnam.
Candidate must go through the criteria thoroughly before they start filling out the form, because if the form is filled and the candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria, then the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam. If they appear and qualify, the result will not hold good and the candidate will be liable for Legal action. The prescribed criteria are as follows.
- Applicant must secure at least 55% (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or Equivalent Examination from any university/institution recognized by UGC. If the applicant is from the SC/ ST/ Backward Classes/ Persons with Disability category, then they must secure at least 50% (without rounding off) in the Master’s Degree or any Degree Equivalent.
- Applicants must have either completed or are pursuing and are in the final year of the Master’s Degree.
- Applicants belonging to the Transgender Category must secure 50% of Master’s Degree.
- Applicants with a Ph.D., whose Master’s Level Examination has been completed by 19th September 1991, are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks, which means they must secure 50%.
- Applicants are advised to appear for the subject that has been studied in the Post Graduation only. If the applicants subject is not covered in the SET (State Eligibility Test) list then they can opt for any other related subject.
- Applicants having a Post-Graduate Diploma/ certificate awarded by an Indian University/ Institute or a Foreign Degree/Diploma/certificate awarded by a foreign University/institute should determine the equivalence of the degree/diploma/certification with a Master’s Degree that is recognized by the Indian Universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
APSET Exam Pattern 2024
The exam paper pattern is set by the Andhra University keeping in mind the skill and knowledge a candidate requires for the position they are applying for. The question paper will be bilingual, i.e., English and Telugu. Candidates must mention which language they would prefer to appear the paper in.
The paper is MCQ based and there is no negative marking. It is divided into two papers. Paper 1 is conducted in the morning and Paper 2 in the afternoon on the same day. Candidates must write both papers. Candidates will be provided with an OMR Sheet along with the Test booklet/ question paper in which they must colour the circle they believe is the correct answer to the particular question.

APSET Cut-Off 2024
The cut-off marks are the qualifying limit set by the Andhra University, Vishakapatnam. Candidates who manage to score above the Cut-off limit shall be qualified and would be given the position of an assistant professor or lecturer in a college or university in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Candidates must keep in mind that just getting beyond the cut-off limit does not qualify them to be eligible assistant professors or lecturers, they have to go through the selection process to qualify as well. Below is the cut-off marks.
General Category: Candidates must score 40% and above to have said to clear the exam.
SC/ST/BC/Physically Disabled/ Transgender Category: Candidates must score 35% and above to have said to clear the exam.
APSET Results 2024
The results are declared on the official website. The tentative fate for APSET 2024 results is May 2024. Candidates must go to the official website and click on the “APSET Score” on the dashboard. They must then fill in the Hall Ticket No., DOB (DD/MM/YYYY), Enter the Security Key, and then click on Submit. Candidates will be able to view their results. Candidates must download their results for future reference.
Under the UGC rules, only 6% of the candidates that have cleared the APSET exam shall eligible to take up the position of the Assistant Professor or Lecturer in a University or College. So candidates need to give all their best since the top 6% of those who have cleared shall be able to become Assistant Professors and Lecturers.
