Directorate of Distance Education in Kashmir was established in the year 1976 with the vision in imparting education in different disciplines through Open and Distance Learning [ODL] mode. Kashmir University Distance Education Courses are beneficial and college takes a diverse range of activities.

The Directorate is located in a multi-storied building with well-equipped library, good student support services, an audio-visual lab, conference hall, well-furnished classrooms, and a computer lab with latest Information and Communication Technology [ICT] facilities.

Directorate of Distance Education - University of Kashmir, [DDEKU] Srinagar Eligibility Criteria:

Courses	Eligibility Criteria
M.A/ M.Sc.	Candidates seeking admission to this programme must have passed three-year B.A./ B.Sc. examination under 10+2+3 pattern with Mathematics as one of the subjects (having secured at least 40% marks) from the University of Kashmir or any other examination recognized by the University of Kashmir as equivalent thereto OR B.Sc. Actuarial and Financial Mathematics OR B.E / B.Tech Course.
MA	Candidates must have cleared BA with a relevant subject from a recognized university.
M.Com	Candidates must have cleared B.Com from a recognized university.
B.Ed	Candidates must have cleared graduation any from a recognized university.
PG Diploma	Candidates must have cleared a Bachelor's degree with a relevant subject from a recognized university.
Diploma	The in-service teachers having passed 10+2 examination with minimum 40% marks and having put in at least two years continuous service in the Government or private, Govt. recognized school/institution at the time of submitting application form are eligible Or  A candidate having secured 45% marks or above in aggregate in 10+2 examination shall also be eligible for seeking admission to the course. The admission will be open for both freshers and in-service teachers.
Certificate	Candidate seeking admission to Certificate Course in Kashmiri must have passed 10th Class from recognized Board/Institution.
