The daily academic schedule of Delhi School of Business is at par with any other B-school in India. The classes commence at (:30 in the morning. There are lectures of 1 and a half hour each which included learning through presentations and projects. Apart from that their quizzes are taken after every few days so as to ensure that there is continuous evaluation of student's performance. The classes generally end around 4:45 which is then followed by an occasional meeting of the various student's committee's to discuss their relevant issues and or plan certain things for the events that keep happening after every few weeks. The curriculum followed can be rated 6 out of 10 but with the availability of library, there are lots of reference books that one can avail. The faculty of our college is quite good in terms of the institutes that they have worked with and the amount of experience that they bring in, The best part is that many of the faculty members have worked in the industry so they bring in a lot of insights as to what the ground reality is.
Delhi School of Business conducts a special session which is taken by someone from the faculty of the National University of Singapore (which comes in the top 10 universities in Asia). Apart from the college, there is also a one-week immersion trip to NUS campus. The language that is mostly spoken during the lectures and otherwise is English, followed by Hindi. But as a part of the curriculum student's are taught Mandarin (Chinese).
There are a lot of clubs formed in our college. Example: The student committee which is further divided into cultural committee, academic committee, discipline committee. There also a placement committee. The PGDM batch is further divided into Finance, marketing, entrepreneurship and HR Clubs. All of them are very active and participating. Even though there is no official DSB sports team. But the students play a lot of outdoor games and they're all football and volleyball enthusiasts.
The students in DSB are of varied background in terms of culture. We have students from east, west, north as well as southern parts of India. The students are party enthusiast. The fresher's party is staged every year to welcome the freshers and apart for that the students committee is planning to start the annual festival from this year onward.
DSB follows mix of classroom lectures and activity based learning. The course curriculum is on the similar lines as other college's across India. Classes are from 9.30-4.40 usually with some classes get over at 3. Most of the faculty members are from reputed institutes and have corporate experience plus teaching experience. Teachers are quite helpful even outside the classroom as compared to other college's. They have visiting faculty's for different subjects and they also highly experienced.
DSB has a tie-up with the National University of Singapore which is one of the best universities in Asia. It's not just a simple visit to Singapore but they'll give the students Certificate in International Economics and Business. The immersion visit is for 10 days but the NUS faculty will come and teach the students in the DSB campus for 3 weeks making it a total of 1-month program. The program offers the student to learn Chinese as part of their curriculum.
There are different clubs and student associations which are quite active.
The college has students from all across India and the gender diversity ratio is also good. The freshers party and the annual fest are organised by the students every year.
