Sri Balaji Society, [SBS] Pune is a charitable trust established under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. The university was established in 1998 by the Founder and President, Dr. (Col) A Balasubramanian. He is the first Indian from the Armed Forces in the history of India to be awarded the Honorary Rank of Colonel after retirement. The Sri Balaji Society, [SBS] Pune consists of four B-schools. The autonomous management Institutes and Colleges managed by the trust are as under Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM), Balaji Institute of Telecom and Management (BITM), Balaji Institute of International Business (BIIB), Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resource Development (BIMHRD), Balaji Law College (BLC), and Balaji College of Arts, Commerce, and Science (BCACS). The Law School is approved by the Bar Council of India & Affiliated to the University of Pune.

Sri Balaji University, [SBU] Pune is recognized by AICTE, Ministry of Human Resource Development (India), Government of India. It is ranked one of the top private B-schools in Maharashtra in terms of return on investment (ROI) by Outlook. The University was also ranked 11 for Private MBA by Times. The admission to Sri Balaji University, [SBU] Pune PG courses includes entrance exams like CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ MAH-CET. The common application is done online through the website for all four B-Schools. Candidates applying for PGDM in Telecom must have an Engineering degree with any of the specializations such as in Electronics, Communications, Instrumentation, Electrical, IT, or Computer Science. For Law courses, the MH-CET LAW exam is required for admission.

Sri Balaji University PG Admission - Eligibility and Admission Criteria

A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% from a recognized university (45% for SC/ST candidates) is required with 2 to 3 years of industrial work experience. A merit list is prepared based on the CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ MAH-CET scores followed by Group Discussion, Essay Writing, and a round of Personal Interview. At the end of the admission process, a merit list will be drawn for all PG courses separately and those who stand at the top ranks, for each course will be allotted the courses according to prescribed vacancies. The probability of a candidate's selection for the particular PG course will be communicated to them directly.

The Law and Arts School at Sri Balaji University, [SBU] Pune offers different UG specializations courses in BBA, B.Com, BA LLB, LLB. The following given below are the specializations offered for BBA and B.Com courses.

The Candidate must have passed a 10+2 examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% of aggregate marks. A merit list of the candidates will be prepared and communicated to confirm their admission. The applicant will be required to respond within a week. On receipt of the information from the applicant, a final merit list will be drawn and the admission letter will be issued.

Sri Balaji University, [SBU] Pune also offered Ph.D. courses for which the application can be made online. 

Sri Balaji University, [SBU] Pune will admit Ph.D. students through an Entrance Test (SBUP - PET) conducted at the university level. The University will decide separate terms and conditions for the Ph.D. Entrance Test for those students who qualify UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SET / GATE/ teacher fellowship holder or the ones who have passed M.Phil. program. An Entrance Test shall be considered qualified with a minimum mark of 50%. The students who will clear the entrance test will be further called for interview/viva-voce. The interview/viva-voce to be organized by the constituent Institutes or Departments of SBPU.

Important Instructions for Ph.D. application:

• Online payment of INR 1,500 toward the application fee is non-refundable.
• Based on the online application form with uploaded documents, the SBUP office will inform the candidates regarding their eligibility for appearing for the SBUP-PET examination.
• Upon confirmation of eligibility for appearing SBUP-PET examination, online payment of INR 3,500.
