• February 08, 2023: BV Raju Institute of Technology to start MTech course in data science, says Principal.

BV Raju Institute of Technology was established in the year 1997 by an eminent philanthropist (Late) Padmabhushan Dr. B.V. Raju under the aegis of Sri Vishnu Educational Society (SVES). At present there are 4 main campuses under which several institutions are functioning, these are Orchard Park campus has an institute of Technology, Institute of pharmaceutical education and research and a high school, the Green Meadows campus has an Engineering college for women, institute of technology, a polytechnic college, dental college & hospital, college of pharmacy and a school, the Valley Vista campus has an engineering college for women and finally, the Lake View campus has an educational development and innovation center. The college offers several UG and PG programs for its prospective students and was granted autonomous status by the UGC in 2014. BVRIT is also duly approved by the AICTE and the Government of Telangana State and is affiliated to JNTU, Hyderabad. The college is accredited by both NBA and NAAC, New Delhi. The ultimate purpose of BVRIT is to provide quality technical education in a perfect ambiance for the all-round development of the students and the institution have made a quantum leap in its reputation for its best teaching-learning practices, high-quality intake, excellent infrastructure facilities, the highest number of placements, etc. The government of Andhra Pradesh established its first District Knowledge Center (DKC), also called Jawahar Knowledge Center(JKC) under the campus placement mission and has been awarded the best JKC in 2007. Apart from these, in order to build its network and to keep a steady connection with its graduated students, BVRIT started an Alumni Association called the BVRIT Alumni Association (BAA) and a separate website was developed for them.

Padmasri Dr. BV Raju Institute of Technology Courses Offered

The college offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs including an MBA program with several specializations from which the prospective candidates can apply to. The college admits only a limited number of students every year on the basis of merit only.

The courses offered by the college have only a limited number of intake every year,

• Biomedical Engineering - 30 seats
• ECE - 240 seats
• CSE - 300 seats
• EEE & MECH - 120 seats each
• Chem. Engg., CSE (AI & ML), CSE (Data Science) and Computer Science & Business Systems - 60 seats each

The seat allotment for the rest of the UG courses is decided by the college administration. The college offers a limited count of only 18 seats per academic year for all of its aforementioned postgraduate programs.

Padmasri Dr. BV Raju Institute of Technology Infrastructure

BVRIT offers an ocean of infrastructure at its students' disposal, lighting up the campus environment. The infrastructures provided by the college include a library,  transport, sports & fitness, hostels, security, food courts, boat club, wellness center, canteen, and many other extracurricular activities. The college library has about 75416 volumes,12065 titles,213 national journals,54 magazines, access to over 9000 online journals, an OPAC facility, and many more. The library at BVRIT operates from 8 am to 11 pm on all working days. The college offers transportation for all the day scholars and staff making it easier to reach on time. There are a number of TSRTC buses by which they can commute easily to and from the college. The sports & fitness include an indoor sports complex, gym, basketball, and volleyball court and a new cricket stadium is also built on the campus. Hostel facilities are provided for both boys and girls on the campus with all the necessary facilities for their timely residence. The college has appointed CCTVs and security personnel round the clock for ensuring safety at the campus creating peace of mind for the inmates. The college has a food court available from afternoon till 8.30 pm at night. Apart from this, there is a common canteen, mess facility for both boys and girls, etc. Every department at BVRIT has separate clubs and Student’s Association that engages in Student Development Activities and conducts regular cultural fests, seminars, national symposiums, and development programs.

The Training and Placement Cell is committed to providing all possible assistance to its students in their efforts to find employment. This commitment is demonstrated by the existence of a full-time professor in charge. The benefits of this assistance are reflected in the preparation of students who were able to secure lucrative and esteemed positions in recent years. The Training & Placement service operates year-round to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. Staff is available to respond to student's questions and concerns of all kinds. BVRIT has given detailed eligibility criteria that should be fully met by the students to be eligible for admission at the institution. 

Padmasri Dr. BV Raju Institute of Technology Admission

The college admission procedure is done purely as per the norms prescribed by the government and Indian Nationals are given first priority. The seats in each program are classified into CATEGORY–A ( 70% of intake), and CATEGORY-B (30% of intake) besides Lateral Entry. Where Category -A seats will be filled by the Convener from the merit list of the EAMCET Admission and Category - B seats will be filled by the College as per the guidelines of the Competent Authority. Lateral Entry seats for 20% of the candidates from the approved strength of the course shall be admitted into the Third Semester directly based on the rank secured by the candidate in Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET(FDH)) in accordance with the instructions received from the Convener, ECET and Competent Authority. Interested applicants desiring admission can always refer to the official website of the institution and all the details are provided there. in case of any discrepancies, the candidates can contact the institution through mail or by calling the admission desk. The college conducts counseling every year and those students who have applied and are eligible can bring along the required documents on time of counseling. BVRIT maintains a good reputation for quality intake and the seats available for admission are limited and the latecomer might not the chance for admission as far as the institution concern. 

Padmasri Dr. BV Raju Institute of Technology Hostel Details

Excellent hostel facilities have been provided for the students. At present there are eight separate hostels in which six are meant for boys and two for girl students. The campus has accommodation available for about 800 boys and 400 girls. Both the hostels have water heating facility, chilled mineral water, study tables, mess facility, gym, indoor and outdoor courts,ambulance services for emergency times, recreational facilities and a completely secure accomodation.
