PSTET 2024 notification will be released at pseb.ac.in. The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 notification will be released by the Punjab School Education Board in Mar 2024. PSTET 2024 notification will be released shortly, and the application process will begin. The application process is expected to start in Mar 2024, canddidates can check PSTET eligibility 2024 for their reference.

The Punjab School Education Board is in charge of organizing the yearly Punjab School Teacher Test. PSTET exam date 2024 has not yet been confirmed, however, it is expected to take place on May 26, 2024. PSTET 2024 Exam Date will be announced in the official notice.

PSTET 2024 Exam Date

The State Council of Educational Research and Training, Punjab will officially release the exam dates for PSTET 2024 Papers 1 and 2.  PSTET exam will be held at numerous exam centres throughout the state, and candidates must arrive with valid documentation to apply.

PSTET 2024 exam date for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is tentatively scheduled for May 26, 2024. Below are the important dates regarding the PSTET 2024 exam.

PSTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The Punjab School National Board has set a few guidelines for the applicants who want to write the PSTET. Candidates must meet all the eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification, age limit, etc to write the PSTET exam. They are as below.

Education Qualification

Paper 1: 50% marks in 12^th standard and a four-year Elementary Education Training. Candidates with graduation or diploma in elementary education may apply as well.

Paper 2: Candidate must be a graduate and also hold a B.Ed. degree.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for either of the papers.

Number of Attempts

There are no limits on the number of attempts that are made by the candidate. Candidates who want to improve their scores can also appear for the exam twice.

PSTET 2024 application process will open soon in Mar 2024. The application correction window will be open once the forms are submitted by the candidates. How to Fill PSTET 2024 Application Form?

Candidates can follow the step by step process to complete the PSTET 2024 application form

• Step 1: Visit the website official website of PSTET - www.pstet.net
• Step 2: On the homepage of the website, search for the link to apply online for the PSTET 2024 exam.
• Step 3: The candidate must have a valid email ID and a phone number to apply online for the exam.
• Step 4: The candidate must read all the instructions and declarations carefully before filling up the application form. Once the candidate has finished reading all the mentioned instructions, click on the checkbox and then "Click here to Proceed".
• Step 5: Candidates must provide all the mandatory personal details such as candidate's full name, parent's name, gender, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, category, permanent address, religion/caste and education details such as graduation degree details, year of passing, CGPA/Percentage secured etc.
• Step 6: Confirmation for the registration will be sent to the email ID and mobile number that the candidate has entered. Review the entire details entered by the candidate. Once finished, proceed to upload the documents
• Step 7: Candidates have to upload the latest passport size photograph and scanned copy of the signature in the prescribed specification. Once uploaded, proceed to make the payment.
• Step 8: Make the payment either through online or by submitting challan at Punjab National Bank. General/OBC applicants need to pay INR 600 as application form fee. SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates need to pay INR 300 only as application fee.
• Step 9: Once the payment is successful, candidates can download and take the printout of the completed PSTET 2024 application form and keep it for future reference.

About PSTET

Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test is a state-level exam conducted by the Punjab School National Board (PSEB) for all those candidates who wish to teach in a government or private school in Punjab, from classes 1 to 8. Paper 1 is for those applicants who wish to be teachers of the Primary School classes of 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for those applicants who wish to be teachers of the Upper Primary School classes of 6 to 8.  The nature of the exam is qualifying. It helps in shortlisting candidates for further events which are related to the recruitment process. It is an Offline examination which means the exam is pen and paper-based. The exam is available in two languages English and Hindi. Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test is a state-level TET exam which is conducted once a year.

Duration and Mode of Paper: The exam duration for each paper is 2.5 hours. The language of the exam is Bilingual (Hindi & English).

PSTET 2024 Admit Card

PSTET admit card 2024 will be released by the Punjab School National Board for the exam in Apr May 2024. For the PSTET 2024 exam, the board released the admit card for candidates who filled the application form and paid PSTET 2024 application fee.

PSTET 2024 Exam Pattern

Candidates aspiring for the PSTET 2024 exam must have a clear idea about the pattern of the exam in terms of the number of questions, exam duration, marking scheme and much more. Candidates can find the details about the PSTET 2024 exam pattern below.

Papers and Types of Question: There will be 2 papers in PSTET 2024 exam. Paper 1 is for those candidates who intend to be a teacher for classes 1 to V (Primary Teacher) and fulfils the eligibility criteria mentioned above. Paper 2 is for the candidates who intend to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII (TGT- Trained Graduate Teacher) and fulfils the minimum eligibility criteria. All questions are compulsory and will be of Multiple Choice Questions with 4 options

Test Duration and Language: Both paper 1 and paper 2 will be conducted for 150 minutes. The question paper will be bilingual - English and Hindi.

Marking Scheme: +1 mark is awarded for each correct response and no negative marking is applicable for wrong answers.

PSTET 2024 Exam Pattern Paper 1

The following table gives details about the PSTET 2024 paper 1 pattern. There will be 5 sections and each section comprises 30 questions. There will be no sectional timing applicable.

PSTET 2024 Exam Pattern Paper 2

The following table gives the detail about the PSTET 2024 paper 2 patterns. There will be 4 sections of which 3 sections comprise 30 questions and 1 section comprises 60 questions. There will be no sectional timing applicable in paper 2 also.

Note: A mathematics and science teacher must choose the mathematics and science paper carrying 60 marks whereas a social science teacher must choose the social science paper carrying the 60 marks. Any other subject teacher can elect for either of the two (Mathematics and Science or Social Science).

PSTET 2024 Syllabus

The syllabus for the PSTET exam is the decision taken by the Punjab School National Board. The syllabus for each paper will be described below.

PSTET 2024 Syllabus Paper 1

• Child Development and Pedagogy- Focuses on Educational Psychology of teaching and learning which is relevant for the students age 6 to 11 years. Understanding the characteristics and Needs of Diverse Learning, interaction with students, and the attributes and qualities of a good teacher.
• Language 1 and 2- will be based on what the applicant opts for. Language 1 will focus on the medium of instruction that the teacher would use. Language 2 will be any other Language apart from Language 1 and this will focus on elements of language, communication, and comprehension skills.
• Mathematics and Environmental Studies- These will focus on concepts, problem-solving abilities, pedagogical understanding of the subjects.

The Syllabus will be restricted to the topics of standard 1 to 5 of the State but the difficulty level and linkages can be of higher standards.

PSTET 2024 Syllabus Paper 2

• Child Development and Pedagogy- Focuses on Educational Psychology of teaching and learning which is relevant for students aged 11 to 14 years. Understanding the characteristics and Needs of Diverse Learning, interaction with students, and the attributes and qualities of a good teacher.
• Language 1 and 2- will be based on what the applicant opts for. Language 1 will focus on the medium of instruction that the teacher would use. Language 2 will be any other Language apart from Language 1 and this will focus on elements of language, communication, and comprehension skills.
• Mathematics and Science or Social Science- These will focus on concepts, problem-solving abilities, pedagogical understanding of the subjects. The test of Mathematics and Science will be of 30 marks each. The test topics will be evenly divided over different standards syllabus that the state government has decided for standard 6 to 8.

The Syllabus will be restricted to the topics of standard 1 to 5 of the State but the difficulty level and linkages can be of higher standards.

PSTET 2024 Answer Key

PSTET 2024 answer key for Paper 2 will be released on the official website in Jun 2024. The last date to challenge the answer keys for Paper 2 will ber also announced PSTET 2024 answer keys have been released for all the papers as PDF files. PSTET 2024 Paper 1 tentative answer key will be published by the Punjab School National Board on the official website.

Although the candidate can appear for the test once a year, there is no restriction to the number of times a candidate can apply throughout their lifetime. Candidates will be hired depending on the vacancies. On qualifying, the results will be valid for 7 years.

PSTET 2024 Cut Off

PSTET 2024 cut off for Paper 1 will be released by the Punjab School National Board. The exam results have been declared based on the cut off marks. If a candidate gets above the minimum PSTET 2024 cut off percentage, the candidate can qualify for the second round which is the document verification round.
