IGNOU Passing Marks 2022: For Various Courses

IGNOU candidates can check the passing score and percentage for all IGNOU subjects, either out of 100 or 50. If a student fails an assignment or the term end theory exam, they must resubmit it or retake the term theory exam, according to IGNOU.

However, if students receive passing grades in every topic, they will be considered to have passed.

IGNOU Passing Marks for Bachelor Degree Courses

All IGNOU Bachelor's Degree (BA, BAG, B.com, B.sc, BTS, BDP, etc.) course passing marks is 35% means 35 Out of 100 and 18 out of 50, excluding BCA Programme. BCA Students need 40% means 40 out of 100 or 20 out of 50, to get passed.

• The minimum passing mark is 18 out of 50 marks on paper.
• The minimum passing mark is 35 out of 100 marks on paper.
• For 25 Marks papers, the passing mark is 9.

IGNOU Passing Marks for Master’s Degree Courses

There is a grading system in a few master's programs, such as MBA and MARD; therefore, in master's degree courses, students require a D grade to pass. The passing mark for IGNOU Master's Degree Programs is 40 out of 100.

• The minimum passing mark is 20 out of 50 marks on paper.
• The minimum passing mark is 40 out of 100 marks on paper.

IGNOU Passing Marks For Certificate And Diploma Courses

To pass the Diploma/ Certificate course from IGNOU, the students must obtain a minimum of 40% marks in each subject in both theory exams and assignments. Along with theory, getting passing marks in Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA) is very important. Assignments in IGNOU constitute 30% of total marks for any course.

Students must obtain a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in assignments for Bachelor's Degree programs. Similarly, for Master's Degree programs, students must obtain 40 marks out of 100 in assignments.

IGNOU Grade System

IGNOU Students will have to obtain at least a "D" Grade in both assignments and term-end examinations for qualifying a course. However, the overall average should be at least a "C" grade for the successful completion of a program from IGNOU.

The students can easily check the passing marks of IGNOU for all subjects on the official site. The exam board will be issued the subject-wise passing percentage for both theory and assignments out of 50, 70, and 100.
